    Where do I stand as in harassment ?, as in unwanted contact.

    Nowhere. Just ask them to stop.
    Can someone explain to me how unwanted contact is not harassment ?.

    Because it does not meet the definition

    harass
    verb
    verb: harass;
    1. subject to aggressive pressure or intimidation
    You really need to put things into perspective. Inviting you to complete a credit card application, even frequently, does not come anywhere near harassment. Additionally, you could have stopped the applications arriving at any point by asking them to.

    The interesting question for me is what do you want to happen. Do you just want it to stop? That’s simple. Just contact them and tell them.

    Do you want anything else?

    Actually you have fairly strong lights if you want them to stop you sending marketing material

    Under Article 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), any organisation has to stop using your personal information for direct marketing purposes if you ask them to do so.

    This is a very effective way of stopping unwanted mail as they can't refuse to take your name, address and any other personal information off their mailing list.

    I think you have missed the point the OP hasn't as far as we can tell contacted Barclaycard to tell them to take them off their marketing list.
    Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:
