Are Barclays Bank and Barclaycard classed as separate entities as far as setting marketing preferences is concerned?

Harassment is defined as how it is received by the recipient.

I if sent fifteen text messages to an individual who never responded back over the same period and if they stated they were alarmed etc. I'ts accepted as harassment.

The company has still contacted me over a fifteen period to which I've not responded nor asked for.

The only difference it's a company then an individual, the premise is still the same is it not ?.

    Not quite.

Harassment is actually decided by the court based on how a reasonable person would interpret it.

Quite clearly no reasonable person would interpret one piece of direct mail a month as harassment.
  • But they would say 15 text messages is over the same period.

Police charge you after speaking to the CPS and then its upto the individual to plead guilty or not at the court.

Unwanted contact is still unwanted contact is it not ?.

Yes, because a thing must always equal the same thing. Contact is contact. Boxes are boxes. Chips are chips. That's why phrases such as that have no relevance or meaning.

But unwanted contact is not necessarily harassment. And there is a clear divide between 1-2-1 contact and one to thousands contact.

Shred them and put the remains in the recycle bin like any other junk mail. The feeling of harassment is probably in your own mind.

If this is correct, please stop harassing me!

What about those unwanted leaflets that some times come along with your post, like safestyle windows or Dominoes Pizzas. Should those be classed as harassment?

    Answer: No just bin them!!

As others have said instead of being a snow flake about it, contact barclaycard and ask them to remove you from their marketing list.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

The words "mountain" and "molehill" come to mind. ;)
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.
