Barclaycard Harassment.

I was added onto an existing Barclays customer account therefore making it a joint account and made it perfectly clear I didn't want to receive any form of marketing from them in Late April 2018.

Since May 2018 to the current month, July 2019, I've received a credit card application form from Barclaycard every month, so 15 in total.

I didn't consent in the first place and I don't possess or have applied/showed any interest in one.

Where do I stand as in harassment ?, as in unwanted contact.

Regards.

    It's not harrassment.
  • Nowhere.

Just contact them and ask them to remove you from their marketing lists.

    Harassment? Not even remotely.

Sounds like you didn't make your marketing preferences "perfectly clear". Speak to them again and make sure you're actually clear about not wanting to receive marketing materials. Avoid using words like "harassment", because that will make you sound silly.

Can you explain why receiving a form that you don't have to complete is harrassment?

Because I didn't ask for it in the first place.

I'm not on the electoral roll that is available to purchase by companies.

    Well bin it.

If it were genuine harrassment then the police would be interested. I bet they're not interested in your 'problem'.

Again - a low volume of marketing material sent to your address is not "harassment". It's not threatening, it's not invasive. It's not intended to (nor realistically likely to) cause you distress or alarm. It's not repeatedly turning up at someone's home uninvited. It's not harassment.

Really, given you've had a restraining order taken out against you in the past, I would have thought you'd have a better idea of what constitutes harassment...
