Finding the Data Officer for Parking Charge Limited

Hi,

I've received a Claim Form from BW Legal on behalf of Parking Charge Limited.

Following the advice on the Newbies thread I have sent my Acknowledgement of Service and I intend to defend all of the claim.

I now wish to contact the Data Officer for PCL so I can request a SAR. However, I cannot find any details of who this might be. PCLs website is set up for payments and I can't even access my claim because the site has never recognised my PCN number (a reason I couldn't appeal in the first place).

Does anyone know how/where I would find the email or contact details for the Data Officer for PCL? Or should I write to the company address and hope it finds its way? Although, when I google their address: 20 Coxon Street, DE21 7JG it leads to a company called Absolute Parking Management.

Help much appreciated!

You missed the word 'Privacy' top right. Just like this person did:

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?

Did it come from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton, or from somewhere else?

Thanks for replying. Apologies this has been asked before and perhaps I'm being dense but I don't see the word 'Privacy' anywhere on their page:
    retrieve.pcnpay.co.uk/Ticket/ViewPCNTicket

    (I can't add a proper link as I'm a new user)

Is the problem that I can't log into my claim? This has been an issue from the start. It doesn't recognise either my reg or PCN number!

I can't even find a phone number for them

The issue date is 5 July and it's from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton.

I work at a Primary School and the school issues me with Permits for the car park. I have the permit I received on that day as evidence, I'm also going to get a statement from the person who supplies me with the permit.

The sticky bit is they have a photo of my car and the permit cannot be seen displayed. I can only think that it must've fallen. I sent a copy of my permit which has the date on it to BW Legal and said I was unable to appeal to PCL because their website doesn't recognise my PCN number. But they're having none of it clearly.

The fine seems unreasonable to me for simple misfortune. Not sure if I've got a leg to stand on but worth a try...

Why hasn't your employer instructed the scammers to cancel this charge and court process?

It's enough to make you look for another job! Do you have a union rep to help you?

Just because there is a picture where the permit cannot be seen does not mean it wasn't there. Scammers take pictures from positions and angles that do not show the whole of the windscreen, do not show the whole of the dashboard, use reflection and light and shade to hide things displayed.

It is quite possible that the permit was on display but the scammers deliberately took a picture such that that specific area was not shown.

Have a good look at their images. Does it show the area where the permit is normally displayed? Is there part of the screen that is partly obscured?
Do you see what I am getting at?

With a Claim Issue Date of 5th July, and having done the Acknowledgement of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 7th August 2019 to file your Defence.

That's over four weeks away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

That's odd, I just checked again and it's top right, exactly where I said it was.

I never give links for basic research stuff.

But I didn't use some convoluted way to find their page re payment or appeals.
As they are hard to Google due to the generic words in their name, I just started at the obvious place and went to the link the BPA give on their AOS page for this company.

cant see much on their website and I would say that it fails GDPR due to no privacy notice and the SAR download form requires too much personal data

here is their address from that form
    Parking Charge Limited
    PO Box 1484, Northampton, NN2 1ET
I dont see the privacy option using firefox when using the link on the BPA website

    EDIT

    got it using opera instead

Huzzah! It was a totally different page to what I was on. Found it via your suggestion of the BPA members list. Thanks
