Debts are around £40k unsecured credit card but bank gave me high limits during university time.

I would love to know what bank / lenders gave you £40k worth of credit limit whilst being aged 18-21? Were you working full-time whilst studying or something?

And now after being unemployed for a year, you are walking into a £90k job which is considered entry level?

Can I ask what did you study at uni and what is the name of the bank you are applying for a job with, cos boy, I'm in the wrong line of work! :D

You say you won’t be working with money directly. Erm it’s a bank you will be dealing with clients and customers. You likely be advising them of what to do with their money. I wouldn’t take advice off someone at a bank who can’t cope with their own finances never mind advise others how to manage theirs.

Whilst I do think the OP is talking through his rear end I'd just like to say I work for a major bank and have been in a DMP so have defaults. Its not impossible. It all depends on your role.

I work in software dev and as such have no contact with money or customers. There are more roles in banks than those that involve working with money or being customer facing

  • What a very strange thread. Tastes of random trolling or fantasyland. Either way... no you'll be rejected
