Sorry another BW legal thread!

OK, reading lots on the newbie help thread.. Not the easiest to follow, no offence meant to author.

My wife got a parking fine notive via post for ncp... At the time we googled searched and learnt to ignore. We honestly thought from posts we read they wouldn't take further action.

Received letter from BW legal today, obviously threatening to take us to court.

Are we to late to appeal to ncp now as the appeal window has closed and BW are involved?....

I can see copy and paste info to use on the newbie thread, but unsure if I'm past that point?

My wife's close to phoning them and just paying the £160 asking.. Thought to join and ask before she pays.

Sorry once again long timers on here who must get fed up with newbies making posts.

:)

NCP are BPA members so you could appeal using the blue text template in the NEBIE sticky if you are not out of time - dates of parking and issue of notices would help. If you didn't appeal in time and receive a POPLA code you are reduced to waiting for a court claim and then follow the advice in NEWBIE sticky post # 2. Is the letter from BW Legal a letter before claim, i.e. did it give 30 days to reply and contain financial forms (which you don't fill in) and did it include the particulars of claim and all the evidence they are going to rely on in court?

The letter we got today from BW legal says contravention date 24 Feb 2019

BW legal letter is basically saying as we didn't appeal with ncp within 28 days (that answers my question) and they want £160 within 14 days unless we give reason they will take legal action

I have blanked out my personal info and hoped to upload, but can't as I'm a new member..

Just to add, no, they haven't sent any evidence to use in court or extra forms to fill in.

Just demanding money within 14 days

    :)

No need to show us that letter. It is just a debt collectors letter.
The clue is only offering 14 days to pay.

When you, or your wife, get a real Letter of Claim she needs to react as described in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.

A real Letter of Claim will give thirty days to consider options and enclose response and finance forms.

The famous 14 day letter from BWL, their copy and paste has become a big joke.

If you get a REAL letter before claim, then giving you 30 days to respond and proving their claim (plus lots of forms which you ignore), then come back here

The £60 is a lie, a fake, look what happened to BWL recently

ABUSE OF PROCESS and if it gets that far, we can beat them

And to Mrs Wife, don't even consider paying a scammer, this bunch is notorious for this scam. YOU DO NOT OWE THAT £60

    You guys seem confident

So are you saying best case scenario is we have to pay £100 and not the £160?

Is the chances slim for not having to pay anything at all?

    Thanks guys!

    What??

Best case scenario is that you pay absolutely nothing.

    What they should be doing

    £100 parking ticket
    £25 court fee
    £50 legal fees
maybe a small amount of interest, doubt the judge would allow

The slim chance of winning is actually BWL

They are now taking a big gamble with the fake £60 and their statement of truth ..... it's your job to get this across to a judge
