EE refusing new Ofcom rules

Help please

On Monday I cancelled 2 SIM only deals that are months out of contract and we no longer use. EE told me I had to give 30 days notice to cancel.

I read today the notice from Martin that the new Ofcom rules that came in on Monday are if I am out of contract then providers are banned from charging the 30 days notice.

I called EE back today and advised them of this information and they stated this is not true and I am contracted to EE and the terms of my contract are that I have to give 30 days notice. Furthermore, because all phone contracts are paid the first month in advance, there is no further money to be taken from me so therefore is no concern to me. I advised I would make a complaint to Ofcom, and they still refused.

Can anyone help?
