Why would someone who can afford a Mercedes want to wash his own car?

Or to add a different slant.

Why would somebody with a brand new car trust somebody else to clean it, which is a simple 20 minute job.

Anyway. I cant see the car wash admitting liability, it would be too expensive. Best case see if you can get any goodwill out of mercedes to help you out. Failing that find a local bodyworks shop.

But what do people expect when they pay £10 for a car wash?

You get what you pay for.
Yet I saw a brand new rolls Royce using one of these hand car washes yesterday.

I have never used one and never will, I have seen them drop sponges and cloths on the ground and then re use them, who knows what’s in them to scratch your paintwork

I sat in a Tesco car park waiting for the missus and the guy at the car wash place threw the wash mitt on the floor stood on the corner and then jet washed it flipped it over did the same thing on the other side and then picked it up and washed a customers car with it and then people wonder why their cars get scratched at this type of place

If you are fit & able. I'd rather the local handwash, who I've used for years with no problems, than a machine.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Wouldn't use one myself in any circumstance. Heard all sorts about the local one. No thanks!

To make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen. It's also good to do some proper work and look after the things you own irrespective of how much money you have.

if you can afford a Merc, you should be paying for a proper valet from a detailing company. Thats what I would do if I could afford it.

    Define afford a Merc.

They're as affordable as any other brand in the same class given the finance deals about.

It'll probably be on a PCP or lease so that OP can keep up with the Jones' at a mere £349 a month.
