Layla has just removed the large twist of paper that had all the pencil sharpenings in it from the bin. I wasn't actually planning on vacuuming up here this afternoon but needs must .... While I've got it out I think I'll do the ground floor because that really does need it. Did the bathroom earlier, too. Go me!Better is good enough.0 -

Afternoon friends. Busy but good day at work. I then collected the children, took DS to the barber, popped to the shop for some orange juice, and I'm now changed into pjs. WM on, and email sent to accountant.
Leftover BBQ food for dinner. Have lovely evenings all xx:)0 -
Good evening and welcome to all newbies :hello:. Thank you for the threads.
For some reason I couldn’t find the new thread this morning which went on to sum up my day. Rotten evening yesterday as I think I had done too much at the lottie, strained or pulled something in my leg and stupidly managed to get dehydrated to boot. All resolved now but a lesson learnt the hard way.
In as much as I can be this week but this evening will be spent mustering energy for a long day out tomorrow with DD.0 -
Welcome newbies
GWS vibes to Kazwookie and Jazee's DH, and more (((hugs))) to Jazee.
Not a good start to the month. Flying has gone by the board today, as DH felt so grotty at 5.30 am that he asked me to ring an ambulance. It was 50/50 whether or not they took him to hospital, - "No symptoms apart from a raised temperature" - but I said they should. Good thing too, as he has again been diagnosed with pneumonia. He was given one lot of IV antibiotics, then we spent hours in the Acute medical Unit awaiting his assessment by a consultant, until at 3.30 they sent him home with more AB tablets. He has been hallucinating - even did so when talking to the junior doctor, answering her questions about his past medical history by rambling on about taking part in a war games tournament! He has a raging temperature and cannot stand up unaided or walk properly and yet they discharged him this afternoon and I had to get him into the car and then into the house on my own :eek::eek: Once again I am thankful that I made one downstairs room into our spare bedroom, where I always leave the bed made up ready for unexpected guests or medical emergencies.
If necessary I shall be calling the ambulance to take him back to hospital.
I have just slept for 2 hours, having been up since 4.00 am. Rosie would dearly love a walk right now, but I must sort out DH's meds first.0 -
Thank you for the Welcome. Really got stuck in today cleaned kitchen and bathroom (shiny sinks) made beds, did washing dried and folded but haven't put away yet. Tackled half the outhouse and sent a load to the skip. Went to work ( I'm a cleaner lol so more cleaning) came home and cooked tea. Having five now before doing the dishes.0
