Yesterday afternoon our local Aldi had well stocked shelves. Was quiet with no sign of panic buying. Normality of a kind.
Hopefully people will take the freedom to get outside responsibly. The mental impact on people could be severe if further tightening were to be introduced.

Chaos tranferring online IMO. None of the supermarkets have delivery slots for the forseeable, which may get sticky if the restrictions become even tighter.
When Ocado were in melt down with their website queueing for 2 hours to get access I did manage to get a slot for the 2nd and one for the 6th. I have no idea what we will get in those deliveries any more. At the moment the tiny uni campus Co Op, which we pass when walking the dogs, is doing well with restocking the fresh basics like milk and bread
DD went for a run yesterday - she is that bored already. It is many months since she last did one and can probably count the number ever in single figures but she was still faster than my best 5k time in the last decade. Being 35 years younger and 2.5 stone lighter will have that effect!!!

People here are still in denial Judging by the number of cars passing the end of our road this morning, they are not heeding Boris's warnings. I hope they don't complain when it ends up in total lockdown like a lot of the continent.

Well that wasn't as bad as I feared, the shop was actually much quieter than usual.   Got our essentials.

But we did splash out on a posh fresh pizza and large pre-prepped salad for today's lunch (which they had plenty of).

Need our little treats now more than ever!!

    Hugs.

No wonder people are confused though. First we are told herd immunity is the answer, then when  Boris eventually starts to do what the rest of Europe and the WHO have already implemented / advised  that only essential workers must go to work below is a quote from Matt Hancock, the Health Minister on the BBC website just now.

‘People can go to work if they cannot do their work at home, the health secretary has said, amid confusion over the new coronavirus restrictions. It comes after calls for clarity, including from construction workers, about Monday's wider shutdown measures.’

Delivery slots are going to get even harder if any more idiots set fire to Icelands delivery vans.  It makes me wonder where some people keep their brains!  I'm not easily shocked but I must admit that did shock me.
