I know right.  You'd think it should have just bounced back.  Will wait and see.   Luckily I can bank it via app.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

My wife uses the local gym (Better) and pays £30 a month. She does classes - Yoga, Pilates and various other ones and does about 7 a week on average. So 25+ a month which is about £1 a class or just over so she gets reasonable value. It’s a five minute drive.

My gym membership is £224 a year so about £4.50 a week ,i normally go 3 times a week so about £1.50 a go ,really good gym ,large swimming pool plus steam room and sauna followed by a hot shower ,better than using my gas.
Like with SeaShell's that seems amazingly cheap. Must be a low cost part of the country.
Here in the South East the local publicly owned leisure centre , charges £60 p month for swim, gym and classes (No steam and sauna)
    £50 pm for Seniors.

I'm not a gym goer, never appealed to me. However I do running 3 or 4 times a week, but that is free :). when/If I retire I may start to go swimming again though. Also thinking of joining an indoor bowls clubs, something to keep me occupied in the winter mths.
It's just my opinion and not advice.

Same here - the council one is Better at £32 pcm. Local and walking distance but you have to book in to every session so it requires some planning ahead. The pool is empty much of the time due to lack of lifeguards - they are the only pool in the area so there are also a lot of school sessions which it is quite right to prioritise.
The lovely spa one that I can also use is a lot more - £175 pcm - but you can buy 3 spa visits a year and then PAYG at the gym (not pool) so I think I may mix and match when the time comes to see how much I actually use it.

Our local leisure centre is operated by Everyone Active. I pay £300 pa which gives me access to a reasonably well equipped gym, a good sized pool and umpteen classes. A cup of tea in the cafe is £1.50. Not bad for the south east (Hertfordshire) I don't think.

That is a pain about the YBS Christmas Saver I presume.  We have our normal savings account with YBS so I tend to move our savings to them after our pensions go through then do a transfer.  I would not have thought they would even accept a second payment in.
