Packlink to replace Shutl on ebay
Comments
-
Just started using Packlink and on the whole prices are the same BUT only for England, Scotland and Wales!
SHUTL prices were always the same for the whole of the UK including NI, Isles and Highland.
Packlink have added a surcharge for NI for sure ... risen from £2.79 for <2Kg to £3.30.
Highlands is the same I think.
Isles do not seem to work, just tried a label for Isle of Man and the postcode is not recognised, so where SHUTL was £2.79, Packlink does not provide a service!
On top of that the way the labels are presented is awful, now having to download and clutter up the download folder on the PC! The labels have also increased the left side margin, so the labels no longer fit in our mailing envelopes. The whole thing is completely amateur and rubbish. I'm guessing IT outsourcing at it's best then!
Have fun people.
yet another example where ebay fail to test their IT properly and just throw it over the fence for the users to flail around, and the poor CS reps to fend off angry users. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
Complete and utter s***e - I haven't been able to print a label since the changeover. Every time I try to pay via Paypal it opens a separate windows with 'connecting to Paypal' and just sits there with the padlock wheel spinning. I've even left it for 15 minutes with no connection before giving up in disgust.
I've had to manually write out address labels and pay at the post office. I think I'll go back to using my Hermes account instead of printing via Ebay.
Luckily I'm backing out of Ebay now so have very few sales a week so it's more of an inconvenience than it would be if I still had lots of sales.0 -
Aaaargh the complaints system via Packlink.
I submitted a complaint on a delivery over a week ago and after numerous correspondence they have directed me back that i need to fill in the original form i completed and treat the opened case matter as closed.
Useless beyond all recognition!!!
Sorry about that.
I should have gone direct to the courier in the first place, i even paid the correct insurance as well.May you find your sister soon Helli.

parcel2go is a middleman which adds another layer of people to get past if things go wrong, just like the ebay services. I usually prefer to deal direct with the courier where I can be sure my items are not disallowed .
The majority of my item still go RM though via a business account and click and drop.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. yes there is that downside of an extra layer, but good if you sell a variety of things of different shapes and sizes, as you get the comparison
as a matter of interest do you know how many parcels you need to use click and drop? i sell clothes so quite a few of my parcels go as LLYou're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -

There is no minimum requirement to use click and drop it is available for everyone. I had a plain business account for a few years using click and drop and getting a small discount, but I've now changed to a slightly more expensive service Rm48 for my large letters as I get delivery confirmation. RM 24 or 48 requires a minimum of 1000 items a year for both LL and parcels. I therefore use RM 48 for my LL and standard parcels for my parcels.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Soolin, do you need to separate click and drop mail into sacks for large letters and parcels or is it all the same sack?Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I have to separate into lots of bags. Large letter 1st and 2nd are seperate, and the same for parcels. So on occasions It can be very silly in that I have 5 bags (overseas has its own) and only one thing in each.
I don't find RM a helpful company at all, I often get told different things when I have queries but this seems to make them happy and complies with all the YouTube videos I've watched.
I currently use standard parcels for parcels as it's cheaper than RM48 , but use RM48 for large letters as although it is dearer I get delivery confirmation on most (but not all) of my items.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
