I don't see why Doctors would be any more qualified to comment on climate change than any other professional without a qualification in environmental science. (Like me, for example).
I note that this is 10,000 Doctors (which is an achievement, though they are presumably not all medical doctors), but it's not a medically significant proportion of the 150,000 Medical Doctors that there actually are in the UK.
Some of their hyperbole is irresponsible, IMHO. I'm not sure that all of their "facts" are true, either. (Or of the ones that could be true, whether they are a consequence of climate change). It's tricky, isn't it, when a group of people who lack credible qualifications to take a lead, try to do so anyway, and expect to get away with using hyperbole and half-truths to influence the democratic process.
You accept that UK plastic being dumped at sea is a fiction, though? That point, whether you agree with it or not, suggests argument from factoid and your reference confirms it.
edit: In an idle moment, I tried to fact check this: "We have already lost ... most of our wild animals".
Apparently (though not that surprisingly), science doesn't even know how many TYPES of animal there are. The estimate is 1-2 million species of animal out of 8+ million species of life-form. Beyond that there are wildly varying estimates for the population of certain species and certain groups. For example, there are an estimated 10,000 trillion ants. One estimate of the total animal population is 20 quintillion.
So we can only speculate on what the good doctors actually meant, because it's pretty clear that they didn't mean the loss of more than 10 quintillion animals or even the loss of 0.5-1 million species.0 -

And that’s because the intelligence and education of the average MP is considerably higher than the average voter. You may not like it, but it’s certainly true, and it’s to be hoped they can still stop the outcome of trusting the electorate with a key decision they were plainly unable to grasp, fed by lies from Johnson, Gove et al.
You just have to be joking.

You'd have to ask your parents that question wouldn't you?0
