Thanks RedX, i just didnt think it would come to this as its nearly 4 years ago in the next couple of months and the letters stopped about a year after the event.

So i will draft the SAR letter up and post that out tomorrow then do i fill in the AOS online asap?

correct, the walkthrough explains how to do the Aos online and the email takes no time at all

VCS had 6 years to issue a court claim in civil court and its been 6 years since 1973 when it all started (for England and Wales , 5 years in Scotland), so 4 years is nothing and we regularly see them after say 5.5 years as they do not want to miss the 6 year deadline

the letters must have restarted recently as they are supposed to send out an LoC warning the defendant about court action

    I wrote earlier:
...you have until Monday 15th July to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
As an aside... when doing the AoS, you will find out whether the Claim Form is valid or not when the supplied password works. ;)

You do not post anything out, there is no letter

You email the SAR to their DPO same as everyone else, attaching a pic of the V5C or a pic of the claim form N1 with your name and address on them

Read the advice you have been given and read that newbies thread post 2 as well

Quite the opposite. This will resolve it at no risk to you or your credit rating.

Did you see in the NEWBIES court/defences post, that we win 99% of cases?
