TUI Flights to Boa vista changes on a sunday now non direct

Hi,
I am flight to Cape Verdee (Boa Vista) in September 2019. This was booked as a Med haul direct flight. We did similar in 2017- this was a direct 6 hour flight No entertainment on the plan and limited seat space. I was told its a smaller plan due to it being Med haul.
They have now changed this since May.. the plane now flies to Island of sal... stops the approx 90 to 120 mins. You dont get of the plan and TUI still call it a direct flight and still Med Haul.
This is now a planned change not due to unexpected circumstances. How can it be? it is either non direct or direct. If its still direct it surely means its long haul. Long haul after 6 hours planned flight they should upgrade the plane and package. If you
lokk on the tui web sight and search long-haul you will see what the class as long haul benifits.

Please can you advise ?

It is still a direct flight.
Direct flights and non-stop flights are not the same thing.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

As above, it is still direct.
Indirect means getting off and changing planes onto another one

So if its the same flight it should be classed as Long Haul. so should get the long haul benifits.. Yes?
Can anyone confirm what rights I have to request the benifits or a discount?

    Where are you flying from?
Tui’s website is still stating “FLIGHT DURATION
6 HRS 15 MINS FROM GATWICK” under Key Facts

If you’ve now got a 90-120 min stop, that’s no longer correct...

This stop adds 33% extra travel time to my holiday.. I am awaiting a new knee so this is a significate amount of time to me on a small/ limited leg room. I have already upgraded to the larger leg room when we booked.
Dont mean to sound grumpy but how can this be right to add two hours. Reason being they need to change cabin crew on a sunday. I stress this has changed since we booked last september.

You could consider it a bonus that it's keeping you off Cape Verde for a few more hours.

    Grim place.

No. Adding time to add in this transit does not make it long haul. That would need adding distance but that's not the case.

In fact as it's two shorter distance flights maybe they should downgrade the service on the really short one. :)
