I entirely agree! Sorry, just 3 years of travelling that line to Arlesey tends to lock stop-off points in your mind.... well mine anyway :o
Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.
  • Oooh, I'll come along! I live in London so at least it'll be cheap for me to get to (although I wouldn't be surprised if those of you who are canny with the train fares can better the price of my travel card!)

Any venues suggested yet? Presumably somewhere moneysaving would be popular - I can rack my brains and think of somewhere suitable once we know how many folk are likely to come!

No probs although I still fail to see how come the trainfare for a 40min return trip can be so expensive!

I hardly ever use the train though although I have caught it to Cambridge or London occasionally.

  • I wish I had taken up the £10 family railcard offer now... I just couldn't see an occasion when I would have used the train but it would have paid for itself on this one trip! doh.

I know what you mean HFBS re train stops, I used to use GNER all the time in my last job - I probably knew the route better than the driver!
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time
