DFW Meet - Mar/Apr - London

Hi DFW's :hello:

A few of us on other threads have tentatively mentioned arranging another meet for those that either missed Blackpool, can't go to Birmingham or for those party animals who just like getting together!

We are proposing it be in London in the Spring, and the suggestions have been either the beginning of March (which IMO is too close to the January meet) or after March payday - which actually means it will be early April as 31st falls on a Monday - darn!

Shall I make an executive decision now and suggest Sat 5 April 08?. This gives us oodles of time to save up and we will be able to get train tickets the MSE way - 12 weeks in advance and save lots of money!

I am happy to co-ordinate it although don't know London that well so any suggestions of venue will be appreciated. Please give me your thoughts on that date, obviously no date will be convenient for everyone but if we can get a majority vote in.

Thanks squirrel!!! That date sounds bloomin darned fine to me, being the everlasting partay animal may i suggest all bar one in leicester square as a meeting point? V near to charing cross station or the underground if needed.
SOoooooooo much we can do in london, the trocadero has snooker/pool/laser quest/bowling for the more fun loving, St pauls and the galleries for the more sedate or just the pub for...........

I'd love to come but depending on the cost of my car (Just pray OH and pop my wing mirror back in!) I might not be able to afford it.

Venue wise somewhere easy to find gets my vote!!

London sounds good to me, count me in. I am 20 mins on a train from Kings Cross so it would be rude for me not to turn up!

Hi, Leicester Sq sounds good to me but will get a few more suggestions in and do a poll or something.

HFBS - do you work at Heathrow or are you coming straight to meet from a holiday - that is commitment!! If we do decide to meet earlier - PM me with your mobile number and we will let you know our whereabouts. xx

I am really excited now, I love going to London anyway but would be especially nice to meet all me new friends on here - bonus :j
