Those of us who routinely monitor different suppliers' tariffs and compare the actual unit and daily charges, rather than rely on ready-made formulas that often aren't accurate, know that switching is time consuming as well as beneficial.

Look upon the £75 discount as payment for your time and services and don't share it with anyone. Your flatmates will benefit in their own way by lower energy costs in respect of their shares of the bills and, if they don't like it, they can always do the shopping around and discover for themselves how much effort you've put in.

You're probably one of the Bulb spammers. In my case, they are more than double the cost of my current supplier.
Not in my area they are not .
They have honoured my 2 referral fees and they are not far off the lowest overall tariffs for my usage.
You must be filling in the comp sites data wrongly. Taking into account the £100 referral fees I have earned they are easily the cheapest supplier in the UK and they have a very good website which works, unlike some of the worst like Eversmart.
And they paid my £60 exit fees to get away from Eon last late autumn.
OP keep the money . If it was nt for you they would be paying some high tariff standard /variable rate with one of the big 6

I've just done a comparison again. My current supplier is £11 per month on a fixed green tariff for 24 months with no standing charge (I am a very low user). Bulb is £25 per month and that's variable. The comparison is using kWh figures.

I don't really want to have to keep spamming my friends and family in order to save money on my electricity.

We also are low users and think we would probably benefit from a no standing charge tariff. We are aware of the obvious choice which is coming up cheapest for our low usage using numerous comparison sites, but with the fear of ever increasing prices, would love to fix for 2 years.

Could I ask which supplier & tariff you have found that is zero standing charge and fixed for 2 years (or more) please?

It is Ebico. I believe they are only doing 12 month fixed green without a standing charge at the moment.

    .

Refer a friend energy offers whether it be Bulb, Octopus, Shell + another I recently became aware of are paying 50.00 minimum and that is not taking into account RAF splits that are commonly offered across the Internet just for switching Electricity, if a few more were to be added in that pay 25.00 just for switching Electricity those with very low usage would be quids in by constantly switching from 1 to another signing up to tariffs with no exit penalties ( if any do have them) Switch in Bill credits can be withdrawn to Bank Account :money:
