I'm right in saying you don't need direct debits to get the switching bonus? 2 standing orders will do?
    Thanks

a friend has just been turned down, I'm sure they will have put in their salary as under 26k, I did tell them to just lie as it will only be open to get the bonus and all they had to do was bounce payments accross for the first few months till the bonus came, but they probably didn't..

can you just re-apply online, making sure to say salary is above 26K? or does it requre a branch visit to sort it out?
has anybody else on this thread had the same prioblem and how did you overcome it thanks

I only have 1 DD on my Tesco account which I'm leaving to join HSBC as part of the switch.

I only have a certain amount of time from joining to sort the switch to HSBC bank account & now I'm in a rush against time to get another direct debit up to ensure the switch goes ahead. Could I just set up a regular payment to my parents to ensure I have 2 set up?

    Why lie about salary?
That could cause flags with National Hunter

You need 2 direct debits or standing orders.

Just set up a SO for £1 or something and then initiate the switch
