Day in the Life of Bob - the toilet paper hunt

It is unclear to me why this and the other 2 threads remain here.
I can't understand why the author thinks we want to read this, let alone write a further 2. I would be mortified having wrote that.
I'd be mortified, too, at having to live in a property with insufficient toilet/bathroom facilities for the number of occupants.
As a Resident Landlord the OP obviously has much to learn, but why he thinks whatever real or imaginary process he's undergoing needs to be chonicled on here is baffling.:(0 -
I think a lot of you are forgetting that the title of this section is PRAISE, VENT & WARNINGS
If Bob wishes to vent his displeasure using this site then he is perfectly entitled to do just that and you are entitled to not read it or reply in a negative manner.
Keep it coming Bob0 -
I have been a lodger a few times and as far as I can remember the respective owner always bought the loo roll and put out the rubbish. They cleaned communal areas and I just cleaned my room, the bath after I used it and the kitchen after I used it. If I remember, I would offer to help with the cleaning communal areas, but my offer was not always accepted.
As for the 10 loo rolls per person. That is a bit odd. They are probably giving them to their friends or relatives as freebies.0 -

Could it be that you are forgetting that the title of this online forum is moneysavingexpert? And that 'praise, vent & warnings' exists in particular regard to issues arising from the expenditure of monies on the acquisition of of specific goods and specific services?
The non-specific goods in the OP's gratingly narcissistic 'diary' appear to be 'lodgers', acquired for what reason that is never explained. How these goods then prove to be, er, faulty and/or unreliable is cited by way of a warning to the rest of us to be careful about whatever 'lodgers' we ourselves may or may not acquire.
But the vents against these unnamed unknown entities and intrinsic warning are so general as to be pointless, as would be an extended narrative about how my electric toaster keeps burning my teacakes, so therefore: beware of all toasters!
No mention of brand. No mention of model name. Just: What My Toaster / My Lodgers Did Next. As if there's something the majority of cost-conscious money-saving consumers can learn from that.
Though MSErs are bound to have some sympathy with the OP for the way he has finished up as Resident Landlord of a crowded unsanitary property where 10-toilet-roll gastritis is endemic, his self restraint in sparing this board further details of his chronicle of personal distress yet manifest irrelevance would not go unappreciated.:)0 -
The posts from Bob should really be in DT.0

Or in MSA. After all they are stories like you'd hear down the pub.0 -

The Forum Guide Rules state that "the Money Saving forums are for people to chat and discuss consumer issues" and...." if you don't like someone, their situation, their question or feel they're intruding on your board then please bite the bullet and think of the bigger issue."
Bob has a consumer issue and some people have provided him with excellent advice on how to resolve the problem and SAVE money. Others have been less helpful.0
