Select Apps.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Select More.
Select Mobile networks.
Select Access point names.
Select the Menu button.
Name: Sky Mobile Internet
APN: mobile.sky
Select New APN.
save and RESTART phone.
DONE
You are being very helpful and in a detailed way -TY
After Access point names, it goes
Sky MMS, that takes me to:
Name Sky MMS
APN mms.mobile.sky
APN type mobile.sky
APN protocol IPv4
APN roaming protocol IPv4
Then APN enable/disable is greyed out
Several things - Proxy/Port/Username/Password/Server are all 'not
set'
I won't be using the phone abroad.
As a bit of a techie struggler I find this bewildering.
I'm stuck waiting in for a delivery so can't check yet if I can get
online well away from my router.0 -

If that's all you've got under APN names then that's why you've got no internet. That one is for MMS only.
Log into your Sky acount and use the link given by @newatc, the correct APN settings are sent directly to your phone via text.0 -
I believe that I have got there! I would not have enjoyed the phone call to SKY for the information so kindly and patiently given out on here. So thank you all who have helped. MSE coming to the rescue as it so often does.
