I just opened an account, said I would get a security code delivered within 5-6 days. Did you guys just deposit the £100 straight away or wait for the security code first?
I didn't wait for the security code.
second question is, did anyone get a confirmation email upon opening the AA account, because i didn't receive anything
Yes, not immediately, but within an hour or so.

thanks, strange, been 2 hours no confirmation, bit worried to deposit any money in, especially since i cant check neither
  • Nuggy96 that I saw what happened to me I heard nothing until the letter of refusal 10 days later which I still have no idea why. Experian score 999 credit expert high 596, and ecquifax perfect all day nothing on the reports. CiFAs is clear...starting to think they just don’t like me or want my money but no reason why.

When applying for a savings account you are not credit checked, so credit score is not relevant. Instead an identity check is carried out, which compares the details provided during the application with details held by the credit reference agency, and that the CRA holds sufficient information about you to verify your identity and address. If there is an issue, it will be with details in your application and/or credit report, not your credit score.

...such as address not exactly matching on ER record, bank/mortgage account(s) being reported, and application form.

Not sure if (undesirable!) financial associates can affect a savings account application?

Estimated payable 8 weeks according to TCP, but mine haven't been confirmed yet
    Retired 1st July 2021.
    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

Thanks for the reply, Yorkshire boy but I checked all of that and have received credit report on
Online from Experian and Equifax and it all shows is I am on the electoral role, no debt apart from mortgage, healthy green lights on every payment on mortgage, credit card etc even old ones no longer used are all green marked.... oh well will find someone else I guess who does want my money. My only concerns were really that someone was using my Identity to commit fraud and I was taking the blame.

You haven't addressed any of my points there. For example, have you cross checked all your credit account addresses match the ER address reported by your council and also the one you provided on the application? What about financial associates?
