But it is paying 1.85% for a year the way the other savings accounts are going this is a good rate"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

I suppose it only needs to stay there for 30 days so not too bad
To be save, you will need to keep it until TCB cashback is paid and you have transferred the money to your current AC. Once the money is in your account they will not be able to recover it anymore. It is a safe assumption to keep it for about three months (?).typistretired wrote: »But it is paying 1.85% for a year the way the other savings accounts are going this is a good rate
Which one you think the best one to open with £1,000
Aldermore Saving Range
1.85% for 1 yr
1.3% 1 month notice
1.25% Instant Access
IMO the best option is 1.25% instant access as you could withdraw the money if something went wrong the cashback did not track.
What is you and other people opinion ??0 -
I opened my one year fixed with Aldermore on 12th February 2019 when the rate was 2%. My payout of £15.75 (included 75p bonus) from topcashback arrived on 3rd May 2019.
Whether you go for a fixed or an instant access depends on whether you need the funds urgently and if you think interest rates on going to increase due to Bank of England increasing their rate. Post Office offering 1.38% monthly on their Online Saver Issue 39."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -
This is off track, but I know followers of this thread like an easy £15 for doing very little, and I only picked this up from HeadForPoints
If you apply for a Monese account, you will get £15 credited to your account once you use the debit card for the first time.
I applied last Thursday, got the card on Tuesday, used it the same day, and the £15 hit my account yesterday.
There is a promo code on the Monese website - PERK2019 - but if you look at the Monese referral thread on MSE forums and pick another forum user's code then both you and they will get £15.
Hope saying that is within the rules!0 -
How did you find out the minimum opening balance was £100? Aldermore also have a similar offer on TCB. I don't knoww the minimum payment for Aldermore...
Neither The AA nor Aldermore state the minimum £100 on their offer page.0 -

Neither The AA nor Aldermore state the minimum £100 on their offer page.
1. Follow the "Get Cashback Now" link on the TCB page.
2. Click on "Find out more" on the AA page
3. Read the features listed.
It is number 4 on the list of features.
Delay on page and you get a "nag screen". It's number 3 on that list.
Cannot miss it.0 -

Aldermore "open an account with just £1,000" stated on webpage, AA clearly states minimum deposit 100.00

I wonder with Aldermore has anyone tried to open two different saving accounts ? Say both one year fix rate and easy saver saving account to be opened, are both of them tracked in cashback sites ??
TCP states in 'What else is essential?'
"...only new customers on their first account opened..."Retired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."0 -
Does anyone know if this account can send money elsewhere via faster payments? Right now I use my 1.5% Club Lloyds account to buffer cash between my higher paying accounts (TSB) and my ISA but that's soon dropping to 1-1.2%. The problem is it takes days to withdraw money from my ISA - if this AA account has faster payments out, I could use that as a buffer to get money to TSB quickly.0

I just see with scottish-friendly you could get £210 with £100 a month Investment.
https://www.topcashback.co.uk/scottish-friendly/
My understanding, after six months (Say) you get cashback of £210 and you close this account account, it is a very good return ??
What is not good or bad of having this investment ???0
