I meant to add, if you bought the cheapest large iPad last year (the iPad 9.7 2017) then £160 is an expensive quote.
Here’s a reputable repairer who replaces the screen for £99. There’s a list of all the models and a price, if that isn’t your model.

I don’t know what kind of case is on it but, once it’s repaired, I’d highly recommend Griffin Survivor.
