Maz yeah go for it. Could you mention it to colleagues if it would make you feel better ? Phrase it as a statement rather than a question though.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Sort of
"We got a chocolate advent calender from #####, i've taken it home for Erin, hope no-one minds?"
Sort of present it as a done deal! i like it!!!!
"you've got 11 days to object, or the calender will be toast!"
Plus i reckon there will be tons of freebies on the go at xmas, and i bet i won't see anything! I'm in a wee oil engineering company now, was previously NHS admin where presents were few and far between in fact were frowned upon.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
I would just say, "does anybody mind if I take this home for my daughter?" then you've asked the question....unless you can control yourselves enough to share it and take turns in the office....0

Hello Bun!
Discussing christmas freebie in my office and if i am going to take it home for DD. Save paying for chocolate advent calender?
Also discussing painful contraception methods..... coils, depo injections, implants and ZTD's favourite, sewing it up!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
completely unrelated topic (sort of PMT is chocolate related) .... some nice sales rep has just been in and gave me a chocolate advent calender!!
As i am the person who orders stationery, and none of the 4 others in the office ever eat chocolate nor have young children, am i within my rights to take this home for DD, thereby saving £2.50 on advent calender in the next week or two?
Hmmmmm, moral dillema? Is it stealing if i just take it?
well I order all our stationery and ALL the free gift's are mine (if they any good) I even ordered some paper towel's one year so I could get a free hovercraft... Nobody in my office care's really they just laugh and ask me what rubbish I got this time!! My kids love it though cause they get all sort's of rubbish!!DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j0 -

Papertowels? = Hovercraft?
How lucky!
I like your logic, i think i will swing it under someones nose in an "i'm taking this, just so you know" kinda way! as suggested by ElideeI'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Right, have found a crumbly flaky chocolate product in my drawer, so am going to see if that helps, and then maybe do a bit of work before going home to my sofa!
