    Oh it definately hasn't put me off crafting and i learned some valuable lessons tonight too regarding trying to sell my wares.
    the people on the table near us were wondering if we would hand knit some goods for them to sell in their shop so all is not lost as i will be checking that out later in the week

    Hi TOOTIES - so sorry the sale didn't go as well as you deserved after all that hard work. Hope you get somewhere with the handknitting. The table looked lovely - I'd have found it very inviting if I'd been there!

    When I did my first (dreadful) craft fair I was warned about '3P' buyers:
    -they PICK it up
    -they PLAY with it
    -they P**S off

    You covered your costs and made some money, so you did well for a first attempt. Don't let it stop you!

    tooties also think what a great thing you did starting this thread, giving everyone ideas! i have just made my first Morsbag yesterday and i am now doing them for christmas presents with jams/chutneys in them, like hampers - and a currently topical eco-warning against using plastic bags.....
