EXPIRED - Wahed Invest - £50 bonus for £100+ investment

Note that last year, there was less than 48 hours remaining when I posted this promotion and the terms also stated 'opened and funded' back then...pretty sure we all got the bonus.

IMO if you've opened the account, done a faster payment (with no fraud/security check) of £100+ and you've noted/marked the transfer in your Wahed Invest account by 23:59 on 30th June then you should get the bonus.

Thanks for the heads up, hoping to squeeze in before the deadline!

Opening the account (including verification) took mere minutes, and the bank transfer has been sent and is now showing as a pending transaction.

No sign of my account being opened, it's been showing as "unable to verify automatically" since the 25th and i've had nothing from Wahed as to what they want me to do to verify it.

When opening my account I nominated a recently opened Nationwide bank account which the system didn't recognise. I received an email requesting a bank statement for the nominated account which I unfortunately hadn't got so emailed to ask if they would change it to another account and if they preferred an electronic statement or (a photo of) paper statement. I sent an online statement but it only had my first initial not name so wasnt acceptable then tried a photograph of a paper statement which was accepted.
There was probably a dozen emails back and forth over two days but it is now funded.
I didn't make the same mistake with Hubby's account, I nominated a long established account (joint) and it went straight through.

I also had problems with the account opening process, different reasons as already posted but worth mentioning the customer service via email was good, better than I expected.

They resolved the issue within an hour or so after contact, having had it explained that there was an application process problem at their end.

I have an email address dedicated to sign-ups for freebies, coupons, glitches, etc. I now get 100+ emails a day full of random junk and I spend about 5 minutes a day sifting through the emails by subject line.

In amongst the hot women in my area, tablets to boost my testosterone levels, enlarging my girth and near-death African millionaires who want to pass on their inheritance to me for a small fee emails, I do tend to find one or two useful offers.

A couple of years ago I started to get a lot of Islamic related emails, Wahed Invest being one of them. When I signed up to the promo last year I used my main email address so I still get promotional offers from Wahed Invest.

If I come across any decent investment offers then I will let you all know on here.

£50 bonus for £100 investment (for three months) is too rude not to accept.
