Thanks for the post Karlie88. Is the company covered by the usual FCA rules? I ask as they are only the promoter in the terms and conditions.

Surely that's because the terms and conditions are only about the promotion (i.e the £50 bonus)?

Investment terms and conditions are what you should read if you want to know about that side of it.

3 months? It's 180 days. With the time it takes to accept the bank transfer and make the investment I was going to leave it 7 months to be sure. Money will be recycled into our ISAs before the end of the tax year.

    Haha whoops Maths fail lol!
Yes, at least 6 months from investment confirm :-).

Anyone tried signing up who has had an account previously but closed it? I’ve tried but in final stages of sign up process where you enter personal details it comes up with the error message that my NI number entered has already been used.

Set it up now and waiting for the funds to transfer. I was wondering, do you need to leave a certain amount as cash on the account? I'm just curious about how they take their fees. I don't want to fully invest only to find out they've charged me £X to sell 10p of the portfolio to pay their fee.

In their FAQs, the only information I found was:

Are there fees for deposits or withdrawals?
Wahed’s fees are inclusive of all management fees, custodian fees, and transaction fees. Your bank may charge you for any wiring or withdrawal fees.

Where are the fees taken from?
Fees are taken from your Wahed account. No action is required on your part.

From this, I gather there isn't any additional fees in this regard.

    done...thanks

    7. After 30 days from the date of the funds being invested, Wahed will arrange to transfer the £50 to your nominated bank account within 30 working days.

just to be clear, is this 30 days, 30 working days, or 30 PLUS 30 ?

I signed up last week and transferred £100 but have been having all sorts of problems with the website creating error pages seemingly at random.

My initial application was locked out with a consistent error at the ID stage, then I contacted them and after the usual refresh, clear cache etc. rigmarole I explained it's nothing to do with my PC so they reset the application process which then completed without a hitch at the second attempt.

Now today for the first time I get a constant error message at the login stage. Eventually got in to the login screen after repeatedly looping through the home and login pages. Logged in to the account which shows the (stage 4 task) transfer still pending as expected.

I'm using firefox and private browsing but haven't had any problems whatsoever elsewhere.

Any one else finding the Wahed website a little flaky?

Good spot - it could be 30 calendar days plus 30 working days, circa 70+ days.

We are in no hurry to get this £50 so will see what happens.

We signed up using Firefox and had no problems - maybe disable the private browsing?

Will probably have to, I can't think it's anything else causing the error page issues if noone else is getting them.

Just feel like I shouldn't have to, it cetainly doesn't cause any errors or issues elsewhere and I've dozens of account portals.

    Anyway... cheers.
