So now I have a debt recovery letter from DRP. UKCPS have passed this on without rejecting my appeal. I still feel the appeal is valid but now getting worried that if no-one will listen to it (and now the debt collector wont be concerned with it) then its just going to grow. Is this the point I consult a Solicitor?0

A solicitor will be a waste of time and money. Why are you getting so worked up? This is a scam industry so expect dirty tricks from them to get you to pay.
They will claim they sent a rejection that for some mysterious reason you didn't get. Just ignore idiotic debt collectors. You only need to respond if you get a genuine Letter Before Claim or court papers. Everything else can be ignored.0 -
Thank you wammo. That gives me a little comfort, but I'm still very worried that if it does go to Court and my appeal is not accepted then the amount will have grown significantly.0

If I were you I would hope it had gone up significantly. Abuse of process and an instant strike out beckons if it has.0 -

If you defend the case following guidance from the forum, £160 is about the ceiling - if it even gets to a hearing. UKCPS are not the most litigious of operators, they are far less so these days than they were 3 or 4 years ago. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. And if it is 'passed' to Zenith debt collection it may rise some more, then fall some with their final offer to you. Or their final final offer.
DR+ and Zenith are the same toothless debt collectors and are to be ignored.0 -
Appreciate all your support folks. I'll sit it out and let it run its course and post the progress here as it unfolds. Thanks again.0
