    I think I would be reluctant to buy a listed property for that reasons - even though I think they can look stunning - because I'd be worried about compliance....

    It's been a busy weekend in our house and a situation threw up some feelings I needed to work through. To cut a long story short, I received an inheritance from a much loved family member, which was a wonderful gift, but also further highlighted their absence  :'(  I just needed to take some time out to work through my feelings and we have decided the once we have moved house we will use it as a mortgage OP.

    February's flog it or fling it challenge has come to an end and the totals were;
    Total items flung to date: 61 + a bag in boot ready for CS to open
    Total items flogged to date: 29

    I am enjoying the whole challenge thing and have found another one I want to follow for March. It's a lady on YT called Canna Campbell, she's doing something called manifesting march where she seeks out opportunities to work towards her financial goals. I thought, hey, it's worth a crack and since yesterday I have received;

    1. Confirmation of acceptance to the shop and scan scheme (I have applied numerous times over the last couple of years).
    2. 2 brand new school skirts from a family friend who's DD has outgrown them before they were used.
    3. DD2 was gifted a second hand doll, dolls car seat and doll outfit by a family member.
    4. Someone offered to drop a birthday card off to a family member as they were passing on way to work instead of me posting - 85p saved on a 1st class stamp.
    5. Found £9.29 in a paypal account that I hadn't realised was there (saved towards OH big birthday this year).

    Manifesting March progress;
    6. Received a free sample of Bloom and Blossom Wonder Worker (approx £4.50 value)
    7. £6.05 cashed out from a survey site (saved towards OH big birthday this year)

    Lots of positives there. Hugs for your loss - glad you are doing something worthwhile with the inheritance.

    Good Morning x

    I hope you're well wherever you are x

    Another week over and DD1 goes back to school tomorrow. I think the routine will do her good, as home schooling with two younger siblings  and Dad working from home hasn't been easy for her.

    We've had a quiet weekend at home, but I have managed to save a bit more money into OH big birthday account from vouchers and savings I have made at the shops. So in Manifesting March, I have managed to save a further;

    8. £6 in Boots by using advantage card points, coupled with a multibuy offer to get DS baby cereal. Saving moved to OH big birthday fund.
    9. £2 saved in Tesco buying the 75p Easter eggs on the clubcard offer. Saving moved to OH big birthday fund.
    10. £3 saved by using an M&S voucher towards a birthday present (also in half price sale). £3 saving moved to OH big birthday fund.

    School is going well so far and DD1 seems to be back into the swing of it already. Hopefully we'll be able to see people again before long  <3

    The Manifesting March slogan has been 'borrowed' from a youtuber who originally came up with it, I am essentially following her challenge (quite enjoying it  ;))

    I have continued the efforts this week and have;
    11. Sold a pair of DD's old shorts on ebay that didn't sell last month. These have been posted today and money moved into OH birthday account.
    12. Received £1.10 cashback from Shopmium (moved to OH BBA).
    13. Used a boots voucher coupled with a promotion to save £14.40 on my shopping.
    14. Used the boots recycling scheme to get £5 of points and used them to replenish the cupboard (toothpaste and the like).
    15. Saved 50p buying reduced loaf of bread knowing it will be used asap.
    16. Managed to get a parent and child space in a packed car park (I let a person out and they let someone out of the P&C space) - not money saving but sheer luck  :)
    17. Just had another ebay sale (again didn't sell last month), so that will be sent out tomorrow using a recycled mailing bag.

    In moving news, our searches have come back and we've read them, we're just waiting for the sellers solicitor to answer queries and thenfor our buyers solicitors to confirm whether they have any further queries.

    I’m loving your manifesting March and tracking of it; such a clever idea and a fab way of approaching the month. I will have to take a leaf out of your book and think of a daily challenge for April.....
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
    New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • Your doing great Needhelpsaving!
    I just caught up on your diary since December, I LOVE the flog it or fling it challenge! And Manifesting March is a great way of tracking the savings (sometimes I don’t give myself credit for the little wins!) hope everything goes well with the house sales, just wanted to say you are doing amazing! Well done!
