The money made from the sale (minus postage and fees) will be put towards the mortgage OP bingo challenge. Talking of mortgages I watched "The Big Short" last night (on BBC Iplayer) it goes through the story of the 2008 banking crisis ... interesting in terms of learning but

Thanks for dropping in SH, it's always lovely to hear from people.
So the progress made on the flog it or fling it challenge today has been to physically remove items already found from the house - clothes recycling dropped off at local sally army clothing bank and ebay parcel from yesterday's sale has been posted. Minus postage and fees, I had exactly £3.64, so that's gone off to the mortgage as an OP and the corresponding box has been crossed off my 'bingo' card.
I've had an offer on a baby clothes bundle, which I've accepted, just awaiting payment. That bundle would be 15 items out of the house2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)2 -

Good Morning!
Thank goodness the snow hasn't stuck! I didn't do much on my Feb challenge yesterday (besides posting 2 parcels) as DS has his injections so alongside homeschooling and doing the basics, it was a day of cuddles.
So the two parcels sent out yesterday were two sales of children's clothes. They both were bundles and so that meant 18 items leaving the house and some cash coming back in. I'll just leave it in my Paypal account for now as I have some cashback claims also being processed, so I'll look at it all Friday/Saturday and send it off to the various places it needs to go.

Ouch to injections but if they heal or prevent that's fab. Well done on the decluttering. Still not restarted mine.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Back again after a short break for my birthday. I got loads of decluttering done (mainly cake related
).
Had 2 ebay sales since I was last online, so that's another 5 items of kiddies clothing out of the house. All outgrown, but in lovely condition.
I have also recycled 15 items of stained/ripped/unsellable clothes, removed 5 bits of OOD make up from the bottom of the make up bag and cleaned out the kids craft cupboard which I'm counting as 10 items as there were more, but some were like random pen lids with no pen etc, so bundled bits together to make '1' item. I also have a bag of donations for the CS when it reopens.

On the move front, the people we're buying from are ready to exchange (they're buying a new build), we're still awaiting some searches to be returned on the property we would like to buy and have answered questions/sent random docs to our solicitor following questions from the buyers solicitor (they asked if we had planning permission from 10 years ago to replace the windows? Seems random given the building isn't listed and they're like for like????).Anyhow, we all seem to be moving in the right direction so we're taking the positives

Hope you get your move resolved soon. Planning permission shouldn't be needed for things like windows surely...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
