This week, so 5 days gone of the budgets and the totals are :
Petrol Budget £40 - £40 left
Food Budget £25 - £5 left
Me Budget £21 - £7left
Bit of a spend day, knew it would be as in the Big City:rotfl: with shops and stuff! Managed to get some clothes that have been on the list for ages for £29 and then dinner with a friend £25. Both of these will come out of savings. On a course so will be able to claim for my travel but did give in and have a bacon sandwich as cooked food at work is a novelty.
Cashed out £35 from pro last night so waiting for that to hit PP, also managed to close my savings account so just need to transfer that to the new account.
Didn't manage a lot else last night as got in late and then had a few bits of homework for todays course to do.
Really looking forward to my day off - so many little bits I want to get sorted0 -
Made it to my day off:j
Just sitting here with a cup of tea planning out in my head what I need to do today, its all making my head hurt. I feel like I am currently living in the middle of a disaster zone so thats definitely something that needs sorting today. I have a list of jobs that need doing so am going to list a few main ones here now and then come back later with the update on them as well as my savings pots which I keep promising to record
[*]Call AA and haggle
[*]Pay library fines ( no reminder email not sure why)

SAVINGS
So I have been mentioning doing a post about savings for a while now so am going to put this here now as a reminder of where I am currently
5k450 2000 - 2 years to go have currently stopped adding to was £120 pm
Holiday 300 - also has £240 in notes fund, would like £500 for Sept
Emergency Fund 2000 - taken a hit with the loss of job but happy to leave this
Ireland Trip 300 - not yet booked and think I could do cheaper, planned for Oct/Nov
S&S ISA 13000- will not touch unless it really is a total emergency
Easy Access 600 - this is what I use to buy clothes / meals out etc add £100 pm
Yearly Bills 200 - need to transfer £46 out for breakdown cover. Add £60 pm
H/Hold 110 - Add £25 pm white goods / bits account
Then these are the pots I want to add too, so will be using the money I make through various surveys and savings
Boiler Fund 0/3000 - already replaced boiler so want to pay back my savings
Deck Fund 0/1000 - would like to do before winter
2020 Bel 0/500
Then there is the £4600 on the cc thats 0% for a while longer (2021). Ideally I would use the money I save for the boiler to pay this off.0 -
3rd post today :rotfl:
Ending the week with
Petrol £40 / £0
Food £25 / £1
Me £21 / £0
A bit of a spend week as tempted by not being in one location for work. Also used some of my treat money as well so I need to knuckle down a bit this week. Looking at my diary I think I will need £10 of me money & I should be able to get by on £20 food as there are still lots of bits in the freezer & cupboards. So I have taken £30 out of the cash point today
In blouse news I took it back and got a refund yesterday;)
Today I have managed to save £15 on my breakdown cover & improve the cover hugely so I will move that money over to a small holding account I haven't earmarked for anything yet. I exchanged £30 in coins to notes which has gone into the holiday fund
Have stopped adding to the £100 challenge total, got £10 for surveys and £7 from BE today so have moved £105 out of PP and will start again with anything else counting for August0 -
So yesterday was a NSD, today however will not be as I need to get some cat food and will do the weekly shop once I have done a menu plan. So budget stands at:
Petrol £40
Me £10
Food £20
The later 2 have been taken out on cash as a trial to see if that is a better idea for me.
I am really lacking the motivation to get on with stuff today, just tried to run & all I can hear is my thighs rubbing together:eek: so I MUST get to the gym today to weigh myself
My £1.22 book came last night so am planning on starting that today & there are a few jobs that still need sorting. My garden could do with some TLC but the weather here is set to get worse so I think I will have to reschedule that for next weekend.
Feeling as though I am getting a better handle on my money but that I am losing the plot in other areas of my life. I may 'treat' myself to a pot of tea at the gym and have a bit of thinking time outside of the house. Sometimes I think that I am too hard on myself
Anyway let see what I can do today0 -
WOW its Monday morning already:rotfl:
Don't really feel like I achieved a great deal yesterday, but did catch up with friends so that is always good.
Money news so far:
Petrol £40 - £0 spent
Me £10 - £7 left (tea with friend)
Food £20 - £15 left ( cat food & milk)
I have a £5 spend planned today and I should be able to get away without a food shop till Tuesday. I keep looking at the new Nadiya Hussain cookbook, its sitting in my river basket and has been for at least 2 weeks now (it has gone down £3).......
Avon have emailed to say that my refund is on its way finally
Have just moved my points cc out of my purse to stop any temptation this week with a cash only budget
My PP pot is already up to £16 after transferring it last week and I have £35 + £5 + £5 pending in payouts . I put another couple of bits on BF yesterday and may have sold a table that was 'free' to a friend as its too big for my lounge so August's challenge is well ahead already :rotfl:
In non money plans, have finally sorted out my online gym access so have signed up for 3 classes this week, have another physio appt and will fit in at least 2 swims.0 -
So the rain overnight didn't happen thankfully as I left the washing out :rotfl:
It feels hot here this morning so am hoping that the weather man has gotten it wrong again.
Work was manic yesterday, there is a level of laziness and disorganisation that I do not like but as I am not ultimately in charge I need to go lightly..... however I can't work the way it is currently is run:(
In happier news
Petrol £40 - £0 spent
Me £10 - £7 left ( spend didn't happen due to work )
Food £20 - £12 left
The PP pot is up to £21 and I don't plan on spending at all today. Have decided that there is enough in the cupboards to stretch the food budget this week, 9 days till pay day and my account looks ok but I am not sure what my salary will be next month as am hoping that my tax code is sorted and it should then be my regular amount (but not 100% sure what this is)
Am back to the gym tonight, have booked 2 classes to make sure that I go. I haven't had to pay for the gym in July which is great as I haven't really been after the accident but start paying from August. Its loads less then the previous gym BUT I still need to make sure I am getting my monies work. Need to look tonight at how much you pay per session so that I can work out if I am using it enough,0 -
Gosh it rained yesterday resulting in a 2 hour drive home  really not the greatest after a day when I started to question my decision to step into the role that I have taken. I do however have to remember that I need a job right now and that it is in my gift to make sure I am not being taken advantage of and that other people not doing their job is not my problem! I am sure some of it comes from not being confident that I have a weekly plan of what I actually need to do in this job as I've basically had 2 days with the person who did my job and then left to get on with it. There is an assumption that as I have previously worked for the business at another level I can just get on with it
Anyway.....
In money news the budget looks like:
Petrol £40 - £0 spent
Me £10 - £7 left
Food £20 - £12 left
My next £100 challenge stands at : £31
£26 PP
£5 River voucher
I think I should be able to last another day without spending and I know I have a planned spend on Thursday that will wipe out the me fund as planned.
Managed to get to both classes at the gym last night and don't feel too bad this morning because of it, however I do feel that I haven't achieved much this week so need to try and turn that around tonight although do have an appointment at 7pm0
