  • So another day done:D

    On the money front
So its Day 5 in my money week and so far:
    Petrol £40 Budget £40 left
    Food £20 Budget £17 left
    Me £21 Budget £18 left
All planned really and today I will only spend £5 from my me fund, so am hoping that I can move £50 across to savings.
My £100 challenge hasn't moved since yesterday, I need to spend a bit of time at the weekend getting some more items sorted to sell. I nearly bought a shirt yesterday, it looked lovely on the mannequin in the shop with a great pair of shorts ( similar to ones I have ) BUT I resisted. ( I did come home and find it on line and it is in my basket :rotfl:) It is a want not a need. Work shoes/ boots on the other hand are a need.

My brain dump list has not gone down so I am a little upset with myself about this, so I need to get back on the case with this, although out this evening (hence the £5)

  • So back to it today.

In my £100 challenge, some of the survey sites that I had already accounted for have paid out so the total is currently £88. I nearly have another SB payout and have a few bits due to finish this week on Bay so should make my target again this month:D

    [/LIST]

Congratulations on your job! :T This is a fun post. You are very organised, well done. I'm new to the forum :) What I want to know is.. how you get paid to take surveys! :money: is this a thing? I've never heard of this before. Do share! :D
  • Hi JoJo

    Thanks for stopping by......
I think that there is a thread on the Upping Your Income section that lists all of the main survey sites. Off the top of my head the main ones I use are Prolific, Swagbucks & Toluna.
Have a look, its quite boring and some take a while to pay out but I look at it as 'free money'

  • Yeah just today to get through and then its the weekend :D
am looking forward to catching up with a friend on Saturday ( so will be a spend day but I have some treat money put aside and I have managed to get a free ticket into an event that would have cost over £100:j) and then on Sunday I have an race

So anyway on to the money
So its Day 6 in my money week and so far:
    Petrol £40 Budget £40 left
    Food £20 Budget £13 left
    Me £21 Budget £12 left
As its Friday I am going to use the £3 from the food budget and £2 from me to treat myself to food at work as I am at a different site today and then I can move the remaining £20 to savings. I will need to fill the car up tonight ready for my drive tomorrow so I won't move the petrol money but I think that I will end the month with some left over but it will depend on a few work bits.
I gave in last night and ordered the blouse I had seen :( but will try it on when it arrives and if I don't really :blushing: I will take it back

Will update the £100 challenge over the weekend as except a few cash outs ( although Pro doesn't seem to like me at the minute & I have a refund for an event that I can not longer attend to come back) but I think I have already reached my target.
Also need to do a food shop and attack my to do list - this will probably all have to be done on Sunday

Interesting :cheesy: I will have to have a look thank you! I might have look at that section too as I'm new to the forum but learning a lot from everyone on here thanks! :j
  • So yesterday didn't got to plan in a few area's:rotfl:
Work was quite hard going, really as not enough to do however it was my last day at that site so hopefully next week will be better. Unexpected emergency visit to the vets also meant a £50 hit to the cat fund ( but then thats what its there for as the excess on the insurance claim is £80 I like to keep a pot ready for those problems)

    WEEKLY TOTALS
Petrol £40 Budget £0 left - filled up in the end yesterday as have an early start today
Food £20 Budget £1 left - ended up getting some bits for today as fridge is bare
    Me £21 Budget £12 left Yeah :D
So that means that there is a £10 saving from this week. I need to go back and look at last weeks to make sure that this isn't getting missed in the general movement of money ( as I tilly tidy quite often and save so many coins)

In my £100 challenge - now at £97 with a few Bay stuff finishing over the weekend.
If anyone is interested in the shirt shopping saga - collected it yesterday, its really nice so I'd like to keep it , total cost will be £19.50 so I need to make this money back. So far I have had to withdraw from a race which will give me £14.80 back so just another £4.70 to find

Right must get on as a long drive and a busy but exciting day ahead.:j
  • So week 3 in the new job and off to a different site today. This one will be 'home' for a good while I think, probably at least until the new year. Its not the easiest of drives but am hoping that at least while its school holiday's it won't be too bad and then once they are back in September I will be used to the timings a bit better.
Had what I can only describe as a fabulous weekend, it felt like a weekend in the good old days before everything got out of control about 18 month ago, time with great people, in great places doing amazing things:D

Anyway onto the money, spent a little on Saturday but all out of the treats pot so that was good. I did spend a couple of hours yesterday researching something that I would like and would have been very useful over the last 2 weekends. However as its in the region of £100 I have decided to wait and see what Black Friday deals come along and put some money to one side from Aug wages onwards as realistically I would not need to use it much between now and the end of the year but would get lots of use out of it from next April onwards!
Still not had the chance to review and pots about savings pots.......

This week, so 2 days gone of the budgets and the totals are :
    Petrol Budget £40 - £40 left
    Food Budget £25 - £9 left
    Me Budget £21 - £18 left
In the £100 challenge pot I'd like to declare a total of £109:j:j
Had a good day on the bay on Saturday, think I have a BF collection tonight and then I am nearly there with 2 more survey payouts. So I need to decide if I am going to move the additional over £100 to a different pot or start August's pot off early ......
  • This week, so 3 days gone of the budgets and the totals are :

Yeah a NSD yesterday & hoping that my petrol lasts today as then not using the car for a couple of day

Gained another £16 last night from a Bay sale and have nearly £55 pending in survey monies that should all pay out before month end:D
Another day at work today, hoping that the air con is up to scratch as its warm already today. Managed a 5k run last night and planning to go back to the gym tonight. I want to also get a mega list ready for my day off on Friday as there are quite a few calls I need to make that I just can't get round to whilst at work and there are a few little bitty jobs that I need to pop out and get bits for so will write that list up whilst watching Holby later.
Must pay off the 'for points' credit card today, that will then just get used to buy my holiday currency in Sept .
In blouse news have decided to return it this evening as I've been looking at it hanging up and have decided that I don't love it so thats £19.50 back in my account.;)
  • Isn't it warm:(
This week, so 4 days gone of the budgets and the totals are :
    Petrol Budget £40 - £40 left
    Food Budget £25 - £9 left
    Me Budget £21 - £15left

So a cheap day yesterday, just needed a couple of bits for work which I'm taking out of my 'me' budget. Am running on fumes so will need to fill up but won't need the car now till Friday as taking the train for the next 2 days. Off out to dinner this evening but I know that my friend is paying ( late birthday treat). Really looking forward to my day off on Friday, it seems ages since I had a day to actually get stuff done, my list is growing.
Hopefully today I can sort out access to my 5in50 account as there is a branch in the town where I need to go and this is the only way I can now get access after I foolishly switched the other account that is linked too it ( lesson learnt).
In the £100 challenge, I am way over at £125 with another £58 pending to payout before the end of the month. That also doesn't include the £175 bank switch money that I have received this month;)
