How much suncream for 2 weeks?

Why 'once-a-day' sun creams don't work
With that said, correctly for suncream:
35mls per dose (adult) (as per WHO)
Child, depending on age, body surface area would suggest 25mls per dose
Applying every 2 hours and after swimming, assume therefore applying six times per day
Assuming using every day of the 14 days
2 adults, 2 chldren
= ((35x6)x2 + (25x6)x2) x 14
= 10,080 mls = 10 litres = 50 x 200ml bottles
As i posted on another thread:
You need to be careful when reading studies like that. They started off with SPF 30 (I would never use less than SPF 50+) then they put it on their back put a t-shirt on and rubbed it off for a period of 6 to 8 hours then tested it again. Which is a completely rubbish test because obviously if you rub it off it will be less effective.
Like i said i have been in and out of a pool and down water slides all day in direct sunlight at the worst point in the day and didn't even get a tan, so that shows it does work.0 -
Currently sitting on the terrace in Turkey, day 11, been wearing P20 every day and no issues. In fact I have used P20 exclusively since 2004, not one iota of sunburn. USA, India, Africa, the Med.0 -

Thank you so much.
I've been using p20 since 1998 the only thing that prevents prickly heat for me.
Thank you so much for your very kind post unlike previous sarcasm from others.
With p20 in mind, would you suggest one bottle per fortnight for the average sized person?0 -
Please have a look at Altruist spf 50 cream and invisible spray (which I use, very easy to apply, no scent, no greasy feeling, no surface residue, no staining) Is sold on Amazon, developed and marketed by an altruistic dermatologist who wants effective, easy to use sunscreen to be available to everyone, not just those who can afford it. I was very sceptical at first because of the price , I didn't believe it could be as good as the one I was paying four times the price for, but I'm now converted, as are the rest of my family and friends. I'm a grey redhead and malignant melanoma survivor so I take these things seriously. I did use P20 but found it a bit of a parp to apply effectively and it stained light coloured clothes. 10p from every can/tube sold goes to a charity supporting children in Africa with albinism too.
BTW it's £7.50 for two 200ml tubes of spf 50, the spray will be back in stock this week, also less than £10 for two cans.. I know the price is difficult to believe, but have a look at their FB page or website for more info. I absolutely will. My boss is also a melanoma survivor so I'm with you! Thanks!0 -

I've just had a look at that one and it's not once a day and the instructions say that you have to re-apply it every 2-3 hours, it also says you need to re-apply it every time you go into water.
So you will be using a massive amount of it compared to P20 and the P20 may be 3 times the price per spray bottle but it works out cheaper because you only need to apply it once a day.0 -

100ml per week, per person does me fine. Buy it from Amazon for best prices.0 -
I never understand this.
Suncream is sold in other countries.
Last year somewhere in the Midlands, it turned out three of us had the same stuff, except mine had German writing on it.
Not the right way to store it, I wouldn't rust it to protect me.
Some places - Goa I know for sure - sell fake suncream that doesn't protect you.
So I understand why people want to take suncream that they can rely on.0
