GreenSupplierLtd said:sparky0138 said:Can anyone tell me how long Green usually take to issue a bill please? I switched to them in January and gave them opening meter readings as well as the first monthly readings on 17th February. I'm pretty certain my online account said there was supposed to be a bill on 19th February but that now says 19th March. They've taken two direct debits but produced no bill. Is this normal? I've only ever been with Bulb and Yorkshire Energy (I don't count Scottish Power!) and they always produced bills really quickly, sometimes within minutes of me giving a reading.
Thanks

Just to follow up on my review at the start of January. My statement date shows on my account as the 8th of the month. As requested, I entered my meter readings on the 6th of February, and my first statement was actually generated later that day - no problem, the statement was exactly right. As expected, I also received an email in the middle of February confirming my tariff had increased. Nevertheless, my current tariff with Green still remains the cheapest I can find (and I check regularly). However this month, I provided my meter readings on the 6th again and there's still no sign of my March statement. I would have thought I would get it on the same date each month (i.e. the 6th, despite what my account shows). Either way, it's now nearly the end of the business day on the 8th (the statement date shown in my account) and I still don't have my March statement. I haven't raised this is an issue with Green yet - I don't want to make an issue where there isn't one, perhaps the statement will generate later tonight or tomorrow - but interested to hear others feedback on statement dates. Do the statement dates with Green move around? Perhaps I'm being impatient, but with my previous suppliers I've always had them generated fairly consistently on the same date each month and I'm a bit paranoid that a delayed statement is indicative of an issue on my account.0

I get emailed as a reminder to take meter readings on 24th of month,i think this would coincide as the date when I joined Green originally. The bill is then produced and sent usually on the 28th of the month.

My bills are usually the 12 -15th of each month. Except January when it was 27th. No idea why that was. I always do my reading on the 10th of the month so in January the bill was based on an estimate for the extra period. No idea why. It did mean February’s bill was incredibly low being only 2 weeks!However- as a separate issue- I am now approaching the end of my fixed rate. I got the email with my options, but deleted it by mistake. I want to stay with Green, but want to fix again and I seem to recall there were options for 12 or 24 months. I wish it was possible to see the available tariffs on the website or app, but they are kept well hidden. I have tried phoning but got no reply. Then I emailed, but that’s now a week ago and I’ve had no response.I know everybody is busy and it’s not an urgent issue, but I’m starting to get frustrated.0

Just go as if new customer, put in postcode and usage and current supplier as Green and your current tariff and it quotes tariffs, eg for me it comes up as Mahogany is variable, Buchan fix 12 month, Doppler fix 24 month, Morse fix 36 month. Gives a breakdown of the price of each in units and standing order.

I have now changed my mind about staying with Green as these new tariff's are much higher, and have started the switch process.0 -
Yes, I am still on oak tariff, with slightly higher rate for electric than before but gas the same, but that old tariff looks like it doesn't exist now, well not for a new customer. It was quickest way to send something if you were looking. Good luck with whoever you end up with.
