no - using my school learnt german and babelfish i have trawled the german sat nav forums where this model is common. you have to add a sepereate program to your PNA which allows you to then overlay POIs to your maps!

(POIs being points of interests such as safety cameras, mc donalds, cinema etc)

i must say although this is a great bit of kit - i am a bit annoyed at medion as there support in the uk is non - existent for this model. although it is similar to the 150 and 175 it runs on an updated version of the software.

Good place for info about the safety cameras, check out the forums also.
  • Hi,

I went for the Mitac Mio 168 PDA with built in GPS, waiting for delivery tomorrow. :-)
The good thing with this is you can download any software you want onto it, be it Destinator, TomTom, safety camera database, POI software etc.
It was a toss up versus the Acer N35, but the Mio has a slightly faster processor and it plays MP3's and it was a bit cheaper!!!
    Anyway I bought from http://www.cooltopia.com/product.php/4916/0//1a995421adaf7724cd6747abb3c4cb1c
    for £206.94 all in.
    Closely followed by http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/viewprod.php?product_id=760&max_cat_id=-1&flt=search&search=mio+168&PHPSESSID=f692ed75e37322548da54b52c1cb501e
    for £209.95 all in.
Savastore.com was the cheapest at £204.62 but awaiting stock 1-2 weeks!
Anyway I liked the idea of a PDA as it can do other stuff as well rather than just Sat Nav and the reviews were good for both PDA's.
Hope someone finds this info useful and sorry for the long links!!

Forgot to say that you can download all the software as well and save a small fortune, try each one and use the one that you like best.

    Regards

you can download most programs now for free but usually on a trial period so legal. the extra program you need to make the aldi navigator to show speed cams is not free. it cost 29 euros but totally worth it!

Remember they are safety blackspots so its best for us to know where they are so we can reduce speed / be more cautious and reduce accidents.

If the police can play that game then so can we!

Certainly not, I'd probably be flamed with a TORRENT of abuse if I did. ;-)
