You'd be much better off targeting those areas of the application which are contrary to law or local planning policies. Otherwise, you'll come across as being a mardy-@rsed nimby.
Thank you! Though I am a mardy-@rsed nimby as it literally will be in my back yard! :rotfl:
Would have clicked on 'thanks' but no option to do so! After posting this I now could click on it!0 -

You won't be the first. And a lot of the time there is good reason.
You just don't want it to read that way.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

We had one storm around this at lunch time - and she's the furthest neighbour on the list sent.
Other things we have noticed on the plans is that it looks like the previous owner has "taken" a couple feet of our land without us knowing so we also looking into that as well.
Thanks everyone for all your comments and help

Would the highways department be interested in objecting since it's so close to the road - obscured line of sight, for example?
Could be worth contacting them and alerting them and get them to object.0 -

They're contacted as a matter of process. You don't "get them" to object.
We do actually have controls in this country!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Funny you should say that but a few neighbours have commented that there used to be a path along that road which the previous own may well have edged his fencing over it!0 -

So in theory they should have already rejected? The current side of the property where they are planning on putting the front door for one of the two flats would step out straight on to the road.
Though people locally have said the previous owner moved his fencing over the actual pathway so I know some residents who received the planning permission application are contacting the council to get this path re-instated.0 -
Not necessarily "already", but the relevant council departments are consulted as part of the application process. If they have already responded then it's likely to be visible on the council website.yoshiyella wrote: »So in theory they should have already rejected?0 -
Consistency is key.
Multiple objections on the same grounds rather than a scatter gun of random rants.
We all spoke amongst ourselves sharing grounds for objections ended up with multiple mentions of parking problems and illegal garage conversion . People behind all objected to being overlooked and loss of privacy etc as the new loft conversion looked straight into their bedrooms and bathroomsEx forum ambassador
