I do think if I get a nice balance it will stand me well. I like to think that I can live a little whilst chipping away at the debt total. It is nice to see that figure dropping for sure and at present i am enjoying the balance but further into the journey when i have been at it a few months is when i need to be firm about my plans0

I see you're really fleshing out your goals and plans. I'm happy for you. It's spurred me on to get a bit more focused too.
Aye, I sympathise with the weight issue. I drop weight like it's nothing if I get stressed or too busy. In the past couple of months, I've lost 11lbs, some of it accountable to a particularly emotional and upsetting time but not all of it and I'm pushing toward the lower end of my BMI. In fact, BMI's are quite rubbish because I need to be a certain weight above it for my body to be working in terms of female biological functions. That's probably an overshare but my point is, I empathise with you.
Anyways, moving swiftly on, glad to see the motivation, focus and dedication is going strong. I look forward to the next update.0 -

Aww thank youthat is a wonderful thing to say, if i can help motivate one person then that is a win.
Its strange i have always had issues gaining weight but up until last few months i had got a grip on it but now BMI is low scale again so need to work on this but life has a way of getting in the way!
HA good old female body functions! Sometime when you have a tough time emotionally it gets on top of you but if you can try focus on the positive then hopefully over time the wounds heal0 -
Wow, what a whirlwind 36 hours! Arrived to work as normal yesterday morning and then got a call to advise dad had been taken ill and was now in hospital, then find out he had a seizure and that the CT scan showed bleeding on brain, they were not sure how badly but it has totally knocked me seeing my dad the way he is. He is so confused and aggitated with the meds and trying to keep it all together for my daughter/partner and then step mum and sis plus keep working is such a hard task
The need to do MRI but couldn't keep him calm enough to do this, plus no sedation can be done due to the meds/detox stuff he has to go through so not sure 100% what is next steps, he has now had meds doubled so now a lot calmer so fingers crossed he can have MRI 2moro. I have feared this phone call for so long and although self inflicted it is still so hard seeing him this way.
Anyhow...safe to say last couple days have been a little spendy with parking and keeping step mum and sis fed and my two fed. Last night step mum broke down and explained everything..unbelieveable how bad things have got but guess that is for another day need to get him through this battle 1st.
One positive is i managed to cancel the VM bundle after been royally screwed over and they phoned from retentions and said i could broadband only at a faster speed for 25 a month for 18 months which is cheaper than i was going to pay and less than my current ending sky internet...Every cloud
I just gotta try stay positive for everyone now.

sorry to hear that, and good luck with the next few days/weeks
well done on the small wins - you do need to give yourself some slack - but its clear you haven't let go of the rope totallyI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
What a turn of events, it's awful seeing our parents in that condition whatever the circumstances leading up to it may be. Make sure you look after yourself as well as everyone else, some extra spends can't be helped under the circumstances so be kind to yourself x
P.S. Just checked out your debt reduction - 12% paid since starting your diary:j:j0 -

Thank you. I have luckily got a little of wiggle room so the impending costs i have coming up with regards the hospital visits are not going to impact too much, the money would have gone on debt payments.
My dad and i have not always seen eye to eye mainly because he refuses to admit he has a problem and has given up on life completely, however seeing a man who is my hero in a totally helpless state...the guy couldn't even use a knife properly is very very hard to see, but i need to be strong for the females in the family. As well as ensure i keep my work from been affected so in between working and visiting i have to make sure everyone is looked after too.0 -

Sorry to hear you're going through such a rough time of it, as of late. I hope things on the family front begin to look up soon for you. I'm sure they will.
Glad to see you're trying to keep up with the positivity and soldiering on. It's often all we can do but you'll get there.
Take care of yourself! I'll keep an eye out for the next update on everything0 -

Thank you DITR,
its scary and inside it hurts knowing he has done this to himself, however right now is not the time for me to be angry with him. I just pray that he gets through this and somehow we can fix it, i just feel so helpless and knowing what i now do makes it worse but its baby steps at the minute i am just exhausted but will keep goingtonight is night shift so netflx and lots of coffee:rotfl:
Wooo to the debt reduction, its so nice to actually see that the plan working :T hopefully i will have two debts including paying Mum off by the end of August then the grind starts haha0 -
Evening All,
Nice relaxed day today, slept and some much needed rest! No additonal spends other than my budgeted petrol spends so that is good.
Night shift tonight so will catch up on some diaries maybe, normally really quiet on nights so its a good time for me to get stuff done in peace haha
hope you have all had a great weekend0
