Flashed by this camera - help!

Amber gambling is the gateway offence of the Driving Offender. It's the first thing they start to do and the last thing they give up. It probably signals a tendency to lots of other crimes too.
If I were a policeman I would just rig a set of traffic lights to be yellow all the time and wait with my notebook. After a few weeks of that, I would have most of the UK's crime under control.
Doubtless they'd all be on here moaning it was unfair and asking how to get out of it, too.

The camera is one of the original Gatso type and is only authorised for vehicles travelling away from it; i.e. vehicles travelling into Edinburgh. As you saw the white flash you must have been travelling out of Edinburgh driving towards the camera; i.e. in a direction for which the camera is not an approved type. So if everything is as you've posted you've got nothing to worry aboutHi all,
I was flashed facing a grey camera today. I was driving towards it. There were no road markings on my side of the road. Do you think I’ll receive an NIP? It was 100% a white flash.
As I’m a new user, I can’t post a link to the road. But if anyone wanted to Google Maps it, it’s the camera on Gorgie Road/Stenhouse Road, Edinburgh.
Cheers!
As for the forward facing Trvelos cameras they have exactly the same flash as the Gatso but they fitted with a deep magenta filter as shown in the link below:

I won't disagree but you can't see the camera.0 -
