Hey
I like you can not wait til payday... and for once its not coz i am skint!!!
I think its a good idea for you to want to treat your OH and yourself to celebrate the 2 years together. You have been on a journey and doing great, its only fair that you reward the achievements you have made....plus its not going to take you over budget so it is a win all round!
Ah well on with my night shift..Days to Orlando: 462- ☀️🎢0 -

Ah well on with my night shift..
Second job was good this weekend, really feeling like part of the team. I did however find out that at main job someone has vandalised the foyer where I work, so I have had to bring in my laptop to crack on with emails and the like, but it does mean I can kind of do my own stuff more discreetly.
Good news on the house front - I passed their credit check absolutely fine even with the satisfied CCJ :j:j. They just need to repeat for OH today but I doubt there are any worries there as his is far better than mine. He has some debt he will be paying off with the house sale but I don't believe they can see things like that, only public record information. They will apparently hear back today and let us know, but it looks very promising indeed!!
4 days until payday, I have been able to do bits and pieces with the online work to submit at the end of the month, so I should see some pennies next month from it!
Feeling very good about things right now!
PS - life, that is not a cue to start turning things upside down!0 -
Lovely to hear you sounding so positive, great news on the credit check x0

Thank you DITR - I was so shocked I passed it :rotfl:0 -
Wooooooooooo! Awesome news on the credit check/house front! It must feel so good when things are going as planned.
Loving the positive you SSDD23.

Well, unfortunately the house has been withdrawn from the rental market for some reason or another, it hasn't gone to anyone else it's just been removed. Which sucks. However, our current EA's contacted OH about a property and said if he liked the look of it, they would withdraw it from the site so he could view with no chance of anyone else making a viewing, and he is going to view it tomorrow. It pretty much sounds like we have first refusal on it, so that's something at least. It does look quite nice, and it's nice we've got a bit of security with it not being able to go to anyone else unless we say no.
I'm confident that if I passed one tenancy credit check, I should pass another!
They say everything happens for a reason, so there must be a reason :rotfl:0 -
Aw no!
I am sorry to hear about the house. I am sure it happened for the right reasons and it will mean you were meant to have the other house
. Does seem a little strange just to take it off the rental market though without reason.

What a shame:( Here's hoping the other house is even better for you x0

I clearly tempted fate by commenting that things were going so smoothly :rotfl:
I had a first aid course today, I had planned to get the train as the journey would have been quicker in rush hour. I got to the station, bought my ticket, went through the barriers and then realised I didn't have my ID which the confirmation said was absolutely required. I had to go home to get it which would have meant I would miss the train and be late with the second one, so I had to rush home, get my ID and ended up driving even though I'd paid for a ticket! The kicker is that they never asked for the ID :rotfl: we did finish really early though, so I had a quicker journey home in the car than I would have in the train
OH went for the viewing and the landlord was apparently not aware, so it has now been rebooked for tomorrow instead - we will get there eventually!
As the First Aid course finished sooner, I was home around 3 hours earlier than if I had been working so that was a nice change. I had planned to go the gym tonight but all of the rushing around this morning definitely was enough exercise for one day, so I am planning to have a soak in the tub and a chill night whilst OH is at work0 -
Not much to report today!
I fell asleep three times on the sofa last night before deciding to go to bed, so I never did get my bath!
OH is going to view that house later on, hopefully he decides we should take it. All of the application forms are filled out for the referencing so that he can simply drop them straight in, should we decide to go ahead. Hopefully we do, OH started waffling on this morning about how much the rent is on it and how we would be paying less with a mortgage and wasn't really listening when I said we would not get a good rate with my credit file and that his budget he worked out actually accounted for rent marginally higher than what we will be paying here, so I was getting quite frustrated at the apparent backtracking on our plan to rent somewhere decent as it will be home for several years, and save whilst there, but we will see what happens I guess!
2 days left until double payday from both jobs, I am looking forward to moving the money around to the various pots, and paying down some debts! I won't get the money from the online work until the middle of the month, however once it is confirmed I will definitely have that money coming and can budget accordingly0
