Debt collection moorcroft PayPal

My PayPal account is showing £0.00 and after calling PayPal they said they have no knowledge of this debt. PayPal also searched if I have any previous accounts registered to an old email, but again they can’t find anything.
I have checked my credit file and this is showing as excellent and no debt.
Question is how do I get rid of the debt with moorcroft if it doesn’t exist? They keep calling and sending letter s. I’m worried they will send bailiffs around.
Thanks for any advice anyone can give.
Clive

Hi and welcome to the forum
If you have received a letter for a debt account of which you have no knowledge, then I would send Moorcroft a 'proveit' letter
Sample letter - Complaining to debt collection agencies that you do not owe the debtI work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -
Thanks for the advice. I will try that.0

Does the letter say "acting on behalf of". As said, Prove it letter is the way to go and stay off the telephone. Letter only.::A0

The letter says- “we have been instructed by PayPal to collect your overdue account of £63.41”
And PayPal have no knowledge of the debt. I’m unsure where it even originated1 -
Paypal normally use Wescot to chase but the same thing will apply. As Moorcroft don't own the debt they can't bring any court action and Paypal based in Luxembourg never do. So if the debt was legit nothing will happen and nothing will appear on your credit reports. The prove it letter will send them on their way and all you'll get is a few pleading letters which can go in the bin.::A0

hello I was wondering if anyone could help me I received a letter yesterday from Moorcroft debt collectors saying I owe £325 from PayPal and if a solution isn't made by the 20th (tomorrow) then further action will be made, I am only 18 and due to current situation aren't working so can't pay it back. Will they take me to court over this or come to my home ?0

Hello dear,
I need advice, preferably if someone has a similar problem with Pay pal and can show me a way out.
From end of the year 2019, December, the person from China contacted to me on instagram and sent me a message proposing an offer.
He will send to me some football shirts from China and I am going to try to get the autographs of the players and he will pay for it. Also the same person told me, he wants buy some shirts so he will make a payments for all. My work to do was a find out a shirt for him, like on ebay or any other sources, send to him a photos of shirt /shirts on instagram and he decided to buy it or not, than he makes a payment via PayPal.
Bascily I trusted him. He did payments most of the time on time after I spend a time for research. During the whole time I spent doing it for him. I sent back his 7 shirts and 4 added I bought for him plus a football boots. Two packages I sent to China on his name and one pacakge I sent to Australia on his name for his client but that was his friend to the end. The Chinese guy did send payments in total for €2,471 including (buy a shirts for him, shipping from Europe, tax duties paid from China to Europe when he sent a oacakge, photo prove when player sign a shirt, payment for me, And in meantime he asked me for sell of my a special limited boots Messi 10/10, only 99 pairs in the world and I sold them to him for €1,116 - this price is including in total of what he fully paid of £2,471. Now he's asking for money back and he started put a claims against me to PayPal. He lost first case of €620 but he's getting back a refund from other 4 cases he opened. He sent back a pacakge from China with a damage shirt. I can't report it to the third part and get it on a form because we have lockdown.
I gave to PP so much evidence against this fraud, there isn't a way I can win it or do anything to protect me and don't pay. I haven't experience it before. Paypal did not help much now.
They don't accepted the screenshots from Instagram where is excatly saying he agreed and he was happy with a deal.
Someone can help me please?
