I'm considering taking advantage of this offer as I have had an account for years. Is £135 the highest incentive that Halifax have ever offered or is it worth holding out for a better incentive?
4 years ago they were paying £200, but by invitation only.

In your shoes I'd grab it now.

    And I'm still waiting.......for the £85 quid?

A thought crossed my mind, who have left the pay in of £1500 actually in the account then taken it out and put it back each month? Or do you just pass it through the account to meet the T&C's of the account and just leave a minimal amount in?

I think it's 7 months now since I opened and switched accounts??

As I mentioned above I did receive the £85. I only used my card once but made sure this was after the switch went through. I also paid in the £1500 every month them transferred it out again leaving a nominal £5.

I'm starting to think it might be the dates I paid into my account and when my debit card was used - I made a purchase after my account was opened, on the same day my initial £50 bonus was paid, but before my switch fully completed. I also transferred £1500+ every month, but again in the first month I paid in a few days before my switch fully completed.

Looking a bit closer at the terms suggests this might be the issue? Since they specify:
Paid at least £1500 into your switched Halifax current account each month from your switch date

but again in the first month I paid in a few days before my switch fully completed..

    That's harsh :(

So if e.g. your switch completed on the 29th November, you would have to pay in the £1500 on the 30th to qualify for each (assuming calendar) month after the switch.

Unfortunately, if this is true, I think I will have fallen into the same trap for my switch that happened at the end of December, so I'll see if anything lands in July for me :undecided

Have you checked this out with Halifax as you said you were intending to do in the opening post?

You can see in my posts above I too haven't received the £85 second incentive.
The timeline of events on my account.......

First £50 incentive paid into the account 20/11/18

Switch completed and old account balance paid into account 26/11/18
First £1500 payment into the account 26/11/18

Debit card use shows up on my account 30/11/18 (probably made the purchase on 28/11)
Each subsequent month after that I pay in £1500 up to and including June 19, so that's 8 payments made overall.
I'm baffled why I've not received the £85?

I've given them enough time, Monday I'll give em a ring and find out from the horses mouth so to speak, here's hoping.

So another case of the £1500 payment not being made after the switch completion :(

Same day should count as from though

I agree same day should count.
Also if you count a payment within a calendar month I actually made two £1500 payments within that first period, or am I not quite correct with that?

My day got a bit derailed yesterday but vowed to give Halifax a call today which happened.

After around a 15-20 mins call (I was on hold most of the time as they spoke to another dept) I actually got through straight away and a very nice lady assured me I had met all the requirements and my £85 incentive payment will show in my account in 1-2 days. They apologised for the error but couldn't explain why it's been delayed, result :T
