I am about send my appeal. 26th day. The online appeal form requires you to tick a box saying you are the driver or driver/ keeper. If you don’t tick the box you can’t appeal! Any advice. I have been told to appeal by pals and then get their help when it fails.
I have copied the standard appeal letter from newbies and intend to use that and add a few details.
if that is the case , send it by mail , and report the parking co to the BPA0 -
Can’t send by post so will just have to click the driver/ keeper button and give my name then just hope pals can help me. I’m already getting too late to appeal. Incident occurred on 25th. May.0

Then add a line at the start of your appeal along the lines of:Please note: Although I have ticked the box labelled driver/keeper, I definitely was not the driver.0

Hang on - aren't this lot an IPC member, but I can't find them:

Do they use another name, I can't recall?
If not then MAYBE they are banned, in which case do not appeal at all.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They are under Parkshield in the Ipc list. It looks like I will have to send the online appeal under my name as driver/keeper. No choice. It has been about 27 days now and running out of time.0

Don't stress too much
If you have read up on this in the newbies FAQ thread then you already know that when dealing with an IPC company you can expect your appeal to be rejected0 -

As this is an IPC firm, wait for the Notice to Keeper as long as you are the keeper, then appeal (it will be rejected but wait for the NTK).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The appeal was duly rejected but have been offered the chance to pay the lesser £60 until the 9th july. I am not very well most of the time and feel tempted to pay up and have done with it. I will still complain to the CEO of the hospital trust and my mp. Pals were sympathetic but couldn’t help!0
-
Of course they can bloody help!
ITS THEIR JOB!0 -
You tell them that. I couldn’t force them to help me. They just said it was out of their remit basically, they have no power or say in the matter which was different to what they told me when I phoned the first time.
I am on immunosuppressants for a liver transplant which makes me unwell with viral infections and I have stage 4 kidney disease, stage 5 is dialysis! I can’t cope with stress very well. It would easier to pay up and not have this evil hanging over me. I feel like a coward but I need to look after my health.
I want to make complaints to various people including my mp and the ceo of Portsmouth trust.
It’s a disgrace for people in various states of distress to be bullied and harassed by a parking company and made to feel they have committed a criminal offence for simply trying not to miss an important hospital appointment.
This is all for the petty sum of £2 not paid for a blue badge holder for a days ticket and I was there for little more than 1 hour!0
