As expected really but it's a good thing people keep telling him about rogue PPCs, so he knows the issue is still affecting consumers hugely all over the Country.

If you didn't know about the new legislation, you need to get up to speed and join us in being heard.

Please do us and yourself (and the driving public) a favour and stick around on this forum every week - at least for the Summer - to ensure you see when the Government publish and open the final Technical Consultation.

We will be talking about it and the public will have about 4 weeks we think, to tell the MHCLG what you think about the level of parking charges, that the MHCLG has admirably decided already will start at £50 (50% discount) and not £100:

Outcome of 2020 Consultation (look what the public comments achieved so far):

Planned Summer 2021 additional Public Consultation:

It's not open yet but please keep check here to see when it is.

  • Will indeed keep up to date on the consultation and provide input where possible.

Yes the response from Sir Greg Knight's office is as expected. I admit I did let let out an audible groan when they suggested getting in contact with CAB :/
  • The driver has now been contacted by their employer, who has asked permission to confirm to the landowner that they are an employee of the company (who were permitted to use the car park).

Driver asked landowner if they were happy to be lied to about incurred costs by debt recovery, that are simply untrue. Even sent them a link to DRP marketing spiel from the IPC 2021 conference website quoting a no win no fee basis.

Very good! Ask to be copied in by your employer, so you have the email as evidence that every effort was made to resolve the unfair PCN and that you were always authorised, and that the PPC and their client knew it at an early stage and the PCN should have been cancelled, not pursued.

Employer is putting a form together to provide this information, so will request cc'd into the email to the landowner.

Would it be prudent to ask the landowner in the meantime why they are requesting the information from their employer?

They have said to employer it relates to Parking fines, but don't think they said exactly what.

By their ‘employer’ if you mean the landowner then you want them to talk to the landowner as it’s important that all of them realise the horrific industry they’ve pointlessly got into bed with and what it is doing to their reputation.

Sorry could have phrased that better for clarity

The landowner has requested confirmation from the driver's employer, that the driver is indeed one of their employees. Quite rightly the employer has contacted the driver for their permission for the employer to share the information with the landowner and has also involved the employer's DPO.

The landowner has not responded to the previous email from the driver tellng them to insist that they tell the PPC to cancel the PCNs and in the meantime has requested that the employer confirms the driver is their employee.

Hoping that the landowner is getting the employee details to confirm the driver was permitted to use the car park albeit a different vehicle and cancelling the PCNs. However, is it worth the driver asking the landowner directly, the reason for their request, to mitigate any other intentions of this information?

As long as the landowners don't take issue with the driver's employer over the strongly worded requests to cancel the PCNs. hopefully a worry for nothing, but just being a bit cautious.
