Crack on panoramic roof
Comments

Was it there on the test drive? When did you notice it?0
-
Did not notice it untill the day after we pick it up and this was only a small crack and has not got bigger.0
-
Has it got bigger or has it not got bigger?
What evidence do you have that it didn't occur after you collected it?0 -
Sorry typo it has got bigger. I don't have any evidence.0

If you've damaged it after collecting the car why do you think you have any rights with the seller?0
-
Just would not expected the sun roof to crack after drive 45 miles on a 4 year old car from a well known main dealer0
-
Why not. A stone or similar could have hit it at any time. I had a side window shatter on a motorway no idea what caused it just one of those things.0

Seriously Turner you need to lose the abrasiveness.
The OP may not have damaged it at all. The difficulty he has is that he only noticed it the day after collection. So it may have been damaged after collection, and the OP will be reliant on goodwill from the dealer to get it fixed.
The difficulty is that panoramic sunroofs are expensive to fix and are usually excluded from the non fault windscreen claims that can be done without affecting premiums.
Good Luck OP but the dealer is likely to shrug his shoulders and say, "Not our problem, sir". If it had been the windscreen it might have been different.
Did you take any photos of the car that might have shown it on or before collection?0 -
You have rights but to exercise them successfully is going to be tricky. It seems that neither the dealer or you noticed the crack when you viewed it, when it was prepared for collection or when you collected it. That might suggest it wasn't present when you bought it and that it may have subsequently been caused by a stone chip or similar in the short time you've owned it. Unless the dealer does something through goodwill, I think you're going to have to get this fixed yourself.0
