To cut a long story short I paid via the bank transfer option and took delivery on 12th within a few days I realised the tv had dead pixels in corner and was missing voice remote and scuffs on the corner of the unit. I emailed them and only response I got was server mail fail. Now 3 weeks on they have finally responded and are refusing to accept the return.

    Did you read the T&C's?
    Product Grading (Condition)
    What is graded stock?
Our products are not considered ‘Brand New’ products, they are considered Graded products. A product can become classed as Graded in several ways. Most big guys out there all offer 30-day return policies. This can be anything from an unwanted gift, a change of mind from the customer or even the wrong colour of an item. Once the product has been opened from its original packaging, the sellers are no longer able to resell the item as brand new. This is where we come in.

What was the grade you purchased?

    Garde A

took delivery 12th May and attempted contact via mail May 13th, 23rd and finally May 30th

also sent them several messages via the online contact form - no reply.

Tried to call and only ever got a answer phone stating they was busy because of bank holiday or other times I would ring and they never answer.

Been a nightmare - now finally may 30th they reply and refuse return.

Is it not law that I the right to cancel and return within 30 days?
  • Pretty obvious they have avoided your communications within their 30 return so you have solid case to get you money back. Good luck in court.

Next time avoid buying from people you don't know and if you have to, make sure you use a credit card or PayPal who will simply give you your money back

You think if I call bank I will have a case for reversing the payment?

It's been a very long while since I've seen a 'proper' business only accept bank transfers. It would have had me running a mile.

OP do some research on their addres, make sure it is legit and they are actually there and then try small claims.

Wish I'd of read all their negative feedback on trustpilot before buying :/

The way they offer you the chance for 10% off by paying via bank transfer makes it sound so legit and trusting - like they just want to help you out and there is nothing to worry about.

    Lesson learned :(

This is taken from their website:

"WHY DO YOU OFFER 10% OFF FOR BANK TRANSFER?
We offer 10% off, purely because when payment is made this way, the payment is received directly by us, and there are no card merchant fees to pay. Due to this, we are happy to pass the discount we receive direct to the customer.

    IS PAYMENT VIA BACS SECURE?
Yes! As a customer, you fully protected for any purchase you make, regardless of the payment method through the Consumer Rights Act 2015. As we are fully regulated limited company, you can make payment this way, with the peace of mind that your money and transaction is secure.
    "

Laughable really because now less than 30 days on they are refusing a return and my right to cancel.

The address on the website is:

    Trade Electronics,
    Unit B1 Willis Way, Poole,

but when i google it comes up as Buy TV direct with a bunch of 1 star reviews go figure ..
