Yes - its that time again - Virgin RS 19 matures tomorrow. Time to empty. I have 15 zero balance easy savers . You can therefore check up on interest paid out on on all those old Rs`s. How can you remove them from your online account?
Mine has another month to run.
An in branch RS ?  The on line RS19 has just matured and the on line RS20 matures on 20 Jan.

I asked Virgin how to remove old accounts a few years ago, and was told you can't.

What I've done is changed the name of all of them to CLOSED so I don't click on them by accident when I'm looking for live accounts.  🙂

You may wish to move the proceeds to a better account, I have just moved mine from VM to NatWest to Marcus.

NatWest now do Saturday transactions much better than they used do.

They can hide your accounts from view if asked. They have done this for me on all of my old closed accounts. Just tell them you have downloaded all tax data and statements and they will do it for you.

That's interesting. Virgin told me they couldn't do that when I asked.

I got the tip about marking them Closed on here, ages ago, from someone who also couldn't get rid of them.

    Thanks.

    Important information
Our savings online service will be unavailable between 9pm on Saturday 20 November and 1am on Sunday 21 November for planned maintenance work to improve our service.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
They said, lieing through their gritted teeth, we all know the real reason why.  Must be that time again >:)
Well the maintenance work will not effect maturity as my funds are now in my nominated account and easy access account closed. I don’t mind all the closed accounts just wish you could organise them to put open ones at top

I don't like they rename the account and when I ask for the tax statement it's not RS 11, 12, 13

    Hard to organise it

I've renamed them to 'was regular saver 19' etc. I hope that eventually they will go and that all Virgin accounts will one day be on the same platform.

I've still got an ongoing complaint with Virgin which is preventing me putting the proceeds of my regular saver into my flexible Virgin isa.
