Glad I came across these new posts. Decided a few weeks ago to pass on Virgin Issue 16 as it was only 1.5%. Then the interest on some of my other regular savers all went south for the summer and I forgot about this one. Just opened one this afternoon and could use direct debit, never noticed that before.
    Use a Direct Debit? How?
    Clearly confused with SO s
Whilst I was in Virgin Money opening Issue 16, it asked if I wanted to make a payment and direct debit was available. Nice and simple, all done. I will use SO's going forward along with our issues 13, 14, and 15.

Hope your direct debit is for the 1st of each month to maximise interest earned.

Direct debits only seem to be available for credit card payments.

What on earth do credit cards have to do with paying into Regular Savers?

    Don't answer.
