  • Hi everyone, I have today and tomorrow off work.. in fact I had all last week off too but it just flew by and I haven't achieved half of what I intended to such as gardening and decorating. Lots of slobbing about in dressing gown, posting on here and eating biscuits!

I'm about to take my little dog out for a walk, it's freezing and damp but can't be a fairweather pet owner!

I was thinking of going to Birmingham today as love Take That so was going to stop by their hotel while they on tour and get a photo, however it is £30 on train and common sense prevailed, would probably only had got picture of the back of someone's head as I am only little. I also realised I am not a hysterical 14 year old, but a 37 year old mum who should know better!

Anyway, off to the common with the dog!

    Hello everyone!

I'm having a busy day at work - 88 student doctors have just started (though I'll only have to deal regularly with 1/3 of them) and we're assessing the last goup of 30 this afternoon.

My computer / internet connection died last night at 7.39 (ish). At least I can get online but it takes about 20 minutes for one page to reload. Email times out before it starts downloading so no MSE and no facebook yesterday evening:eek:. I had to talk to Wayne for a couple of hours! Blooming windows vista - I've had nothing but trouble from it!

Keren - not being awful but can you keep the snow down your end of the country please? I'm pathologically allergic to the stuff; when I see it I just have to curl up in bed with fluffy socks on, a fluffy scarf and a hot chocolate!

Hope everyone is well and the weather isn't affecting you too much.

    Morning! :hello:

Awwww, Take That....I used to live on the same road as Mark Owen (although it was a VERY long road) and used to see all the teenagers standing outside hoping for a glimpse. If the weather got too bad, his Mum used to invite them in for coffee.....lol!

I'm coughing up green stuff  niiiiiice!!! And have just realised I STILL haven't booked my car in for it's MOT, so off to do that now!

  • I used to live in Stafforshire and I've seen Robbie a few times but never dared speak to him, he comes over as a bit arrogant so I thought it best to admire him from afar! I used to live about 12 miles away from Howard (my fav).

Definately have come to my senses, b'ham is over 2 hours away plus the £30 is a chunk off my debt... (drifting into daydream....unless one of them falls madly in luurve with me and proposes, that would quickly put an end to my debt - WAKE UP, STOP IT, IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN!!!!)

Gary lived about 10 miles from my home in the leafy Cheshire suburbs before he moved to his mansion in Cheshire, then he would have been about 20 miles away :D

My boss said the bit of Wolverhampton where she lives had 5 inches of snow - was 3 inches last night when she drove up to sunny Blackpool!

    Hi guys

Well I have had a busy morning at work, ordered OH's Dad and Sister's Christmas presents (£20 plus cashback from Quidco) and also done works' secret santa. I love 3 for 2!

Only OH, OH's Mum and my Mum to go!!!

Oh and of course I have done some work, currently waiting for someone to call me back.

Have to say, that is the Poole equivalent of a blizzard! It all went within 10 minutes or so afterwards, very bizarre!

Well, I've applied for the job as a Technology Technician at the school near me I mentioned yesterday (you can see the blue roof of the school on the middle photo I posted earlier - it's that close!). It closed at 12 so if I'm going to be getting an interview it won't be long until I hear. I really want a complete change of career but the problem I have is that I have a CV full of middle to senior management jobs and I'm applying for a part time job which in effect is a bottom of the ladder role. It's going to be hard to convince an employer that I'm not doing it just to step up to something else or as a fill in until something better comes along - I genuinely want to start again career wise.

It will work nicely alongside AQA but i'll see what happens.
