Hi All,
I was given a CCJ by Cabot Financial a few weeks ago. As soon as i got this i rang the company that issued it (Mortimer Clarke) and they insisted that if this was paid within 28 days it would go.
It was issued on 2 May, I paid on 28 May on my Payday. Mortimer insist they have now sent this info to the court and it will not reflect on my file at all.
I currently have a job offer that are going to a BG check. How long is it going to take for this CCJ to get taken off?
I was worried that if it gets to 2nd june then it may not be able to come off?
Thanks

It could be possible that because you paid off the CCJ within 30 days, that this was before it was reported on your credit file...meaning it will never be reported...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -
It's shown when I run my credit reports
It shows active though not satisfied or unsatisfied0 -
The court need to remove it.
Contact the issuing court and chase0 -
The only up to date place to check on a CCJ is at the trustonline website
They update immediately they are notified by the Court
The info on your free credit report agencies take up to a month to update0 -
Which one would the employment one show though? Would that be the report one?
Also my credit karma report came out again yesterday and its still there0 -
Why not satisfy yourself one way or the other by checking at trustonline
Assuming that shows no ccj you can show this to whoever you want if they mention a ccj0 -
Yeah it's showing on there. Just ran the £6 report.
Guess I need to ring the court tomorrow as it's already June 2nd now.
Trust online shows it as unsatisfied as well0 -
Do you have a receipt for the payment?
Would the claimant have received your cleared funds within the month allowed to have a ccj removed from the register?
If yes to both questions then talk to the court and ask that they accept your evidence payment was made and ask them to ensure it's removed. A small fee is involved if you go down that route
(You want it removed not simply marked satisfied!)0 -
Yeah I've emailed the court but no reply yet. Will have to ring tomorrow.
Yeah I have a letter from Mortimer Clarke confirming payment received within the 28 days also advising they have told the courts.
I should never have let it get to ccj stage anyway but don't want it ruining my job offer!0 -
It’s also only been a couple of days.
Maybe wait a bit longer before jumping the gun0
